Let's start over......
Well that is what the cavalier is for, It already had battle scars on it when i got it. Sister in law called it the "tank" and i believe it
. Parts are cheap, insurance is cheap etc. Its a 1500 dollar beater that still runs great and looks decent from 10 feet away
and should last for another few years.
When we were living out of town i was putting around 100-150 miles a day on the cavalier. 19k in a year. Now since we moved in town in 2 week i have only put 80 miles on it. So it should last for a while.
The impala cost's more in gas running around town and cost's more to fill up,have to keep full coverage insurance since its not paid off yet. It is only 4 years old and still in pretty damn good shape, just don't see the point of running it into the ground for years. I only owe around 4100 dollars on it so now is the time to unload it if i want to make a decent amount off the car and I can fix my Mark VIII craving.
I have a stronger attachment to the cavalier for some reason then i do the impala, not sure why but i do.

I also totally get the desire to sell one vehicle to free-up money for another vehicle, and you could probably generate more "net" dollars by selling the Impala -- even after you pay off the loan. However, the other way I would tend to view this whole scenario is that for only $4100.00 you have yourself a very nice grinder to replace the Cavalier with when it goes that is comfortable to drive and still nice enough that you could use it for a "higher purpose" if you had to.
On a side note, I'd hate to see what the mileage would be on your F-150 if you didn't have all these other cars! I drive a lot for work, but I don't come anywhere close to putting the kind of miles you do on your vehicles over the course of a year.....
As long as you think the Cavalier is going to hang in there, than I would say you would be alright to sell the Impala. I always got the sense from your posts that you thought the Cavalier was not going to last all than long, so transitioning into the Impala after its demise seemed like a solid plan. I feel the same way about my little Cavalier -- I have to say that I actually enjoy driving the little thing, and it is WAY more comfortable to take on a long trip than my old '97 Ranger ever was!

Sooner or later it will need some AC work done on it, right now it shakes a little bit when the ac is on and if i am idling it starts to blow warm. As soon as i take off its ice cold again.. Another thing about the car that is the coldest damn ac i have had in a vehicle. Puts the truck to shame.
If it wasnt for the Impala and Cavalier the truck would have atleast 75k miles on it. Bought it in april 2013..
I dont like it already having 50k on it but it will be alright. This is the first time that i have been able to go 6 months on a 5k oil change. Before the cavalier i was getting the oil changed ever month and a half at 5k interval's.
We have had to deal with this slow internet all 9 years living in the country. The speed of it was 3megs down and 768k up.. Just got suddenlink at the house and now we have 50megs down and 5megs up.. Its amazing to be able to watch youtube without having to hit the pause button and wait 4 mins to be able to watch the rest of the video.
Moving on Up!!

Moving on Up!!
Hard to believe this little rascal will be 2 yrs old tomorrow!
Drove the wife to New Orleans yesterday and just got back from taking my oldest grandson to Houma...putting some miles on the truck!
Keep that crap your way! I'm hoping for one sunny day so I can finally get the Crown Victoria out and take it for a drive -- it's been sitting in storage since the day it was unloaded!
