Let's start over......
Pretty wide for intake, more likely exhaust coming up through the hood. I do like how they did the hood cut outs, looks like an explosion
I haven't been to Rapid City since I attended the School of Mines early in my college career. I'd really like to get my son out to see Mount Rushmore, but it's such a long way to go just to get there that it's not really conducive to a family vacation leaving from Texas.
Put another 540 miles on the Eb yesterday and today. Ran the poop out of it coming back this afternoon and still got over 15mpg! Shouldn't have any carbon problems for another 50k
Should be the last trip for a long while.. Gonna wash it and put er in the garage for a while.

Had a line of HUGE thunderstorms pass through here early this morning -- when this rainy period we're having here in Texas finally breaks, I'm afraid of how busy I am going to be driving between Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio looking at jobsites......
Ugh
Driving around with my windows down today, I noticed a horrible clacking sound coming from my left front tire area when turning right. It only happened when turning right, but when it happened, man it was painful to hear. It was like a ratcheting, loose metal sound.
I remembered seeing somewhere that noises like that can happen when the front hub has a weak vacuum, causing the hub to be partially engaged. So I drove it to a dirt road, switched on the 4wd, and drove around for about 15 minutes, cycling in and out of 4wd periodically. The noise was not present when in 4wd, and after returning to the street, the noise was gone completely.
What do you guys think? Could it be just a one-time weak vacuum connection from startup, or is it possible I have a hub issue?
