Ha! Yeah it was overkill, but fun. And FAST And I'll fight selling the boat to the bitter end!

Thank you! The sound has ceased since yesterday. Knowing my luck they won't be able to duplicate it. I just rolled into 41,000 miles. I'll see if I can get it over there sometime soon.

2011 Impala Lt. 75k miles, 3.5 V6, Keyless Entry with remote start, Tint, New Good Year tires,Black Interior, Body in very good shape, 1 door ding on rear door and a couple rock chips on front. Will need a passenger side hub within the next year or so (typical GM). Gets 28 to 30 on the highway and around 22 to 24 in town. Looking around 9k ish.

Why do you say that's too good for daily grinder use -- not too beat up, but not too nice either! I'd say that one is a perfect vehicle to run into oblivion while still delivering comfortable transportation ......

Coy, I don't know if that motor has the same issues but the 3.8 is a fireball waiting to go off. I will never buy another GM and discourage my kids from doing so. Look at my album and see 1 my daughters motor (just a fire and $400 in parts) and the pic of the GM engineer.

You want to see some scary vid just google something like chevy impala blows up.......it's more common than you think............Just sayin'

I hope all you Texans are staying safe and dry, or at least know how to swim.

Doesn't seem like all that long ago you guys were complaining about all the lakes and rivers disappearing.........Be careful what you wish for!

Well that is what the cavalier is for, It already had battle scars on it when i got it. Sister in law called it the "tank" and i believe it . Parts are cheap, insurance is cheap etc. Its a 1500 dollar beater that still runs great and looks decent from 10 feet away and should last for another few years.

When we were living out of town i was putting around 100-150 miles a day on the cavalier. 19k in a year. Now since we moved in town in 2 week i have only put 80 miles on it. So it should last for a while.

The impala cost's more in gas running around town and cost's more to fill up,have to keep full coverage insurance since its not paid off yet. It is only 4 years old and still in pretty damn good shape, just don't see the point of running it into the ground for years. I only owe around 4100 dollars on it so now is the time to unload it if i want to make a decent amount off the car and I can fix my Mark VIII craving.

I have a stronger attachment to the cavalier for some reason then i do the impala, not sure why but i do.

Thanks for responding, JohnBoy88! Let me know when you have your dealer take a peek; hopefully it will reappear for them when they're diagnosing your truck. Keep us in the loop.

Had to take a round-about route to get to Athens this morning. A small lake near Midlotian was expected to break and inundate the highway. Never seen so much water, all lakes are overflowing.

Scary! A few months ago, Cedar Creek Lake was dry as far as you could see from Highway 175. When I went by this morning, it is full and the tributary creeks feeding into the lake are right up under the bridges, still rushing in. More rain predicted every day this week.
