Take what you know. You're in manufacturing, so am I (automated manufacturing engineer). You work for a large US company, I work for a global company. In my sector, unions would do nothing but harm us and the company itself.

Honestly, there is much much more to the picture than I know, so I would be doing a disservice to the relationship between the company which I work for and the union that represents me by trying to explain.
