Do you mind me asking your views on this?

I've posted them many times before. Nothing has changed. Regardless of why we are there, picking up our ball and running home now is just plain wrong. If stability isn't established, before we leave, whatever happens after we're gone is our fault. The government and culture of Iraq is never going to mirror ours. We aren't going to agree with them on everything. We may even have issues with them in the future, regardless of how well setup they are before we leave. (If we ever do completely in our lifetime's.) One thing is for sure, if we leave a mess there, those problems are going to be greater in orders of magnitude, and they won't stop at the Iraqi borders.

I think Bush was right to go in. How things have been handled there, and at home, have been less than adequate though.

Let's back up.
Obama made his '02 opposition to the war a centerpiece of this campaign.
I knew Obama was a first term senator. I thought it was class of 02 not class of 04, my mistake.

His '02 oppostion speech was made as a state senator not a US senator.
I can't find anything on the net where he's flipped between '02 and present.

Are you trying to manuver me into being an Obama supporter?

I'll be up front with you on the abortion issue.
I don't take it into consideration as an issue with any candidate though I realize it's a show stopper for some people. The way I see it, I'm not a woman so I don't have a dog in that fight.

Why do you say it my friend?

I didn't say I agree or disagree with Odin.

I agree with Ron Paul. I like the way he seems to think "outside the box" whereas, no one seems to think like that. I agree that we need to bring our troops home and take care of #1 first, get our borders secure.

I like the way the man thinks. For real, what would we do if Korea was over here doing what we are doing over there?

You said 'Good post'.
The mindset in todays climate is if you are even respectful of opposing views,

you are in bed with them, by default.

But Odin isn't my type.

I was just wanting to get his views on the topic, he answered, and it was a good post...I guess I could have added that I dont agree with the post, but good post none the less?

Nope.
The proper response would be to call Odin a name and find a pic of his candidate making a scrunched up face.

You must be new to political discourse.

Pretty much.

I also suck at debate and politics all around. I'm trying to get better though.

Lets all show our love for Ron Paul. Make sure we all get out and vote in our primaries.

There is no better time than now to take our country back from the neo-cons!!!

Vote RON PAUL!

A true master can say three different things with one sentence.
Type a short, plain, honest response will get you pounced upon.

You must be subtle.
Feign innocence while getting in your digs, you must strive to inflame while complimenting, to confound your enemies.
