How's about we all just live our lives the way WE want to, then on our death beds, ask for forgivness and all will be forgiven, then IF there is a heaven we can all hoot an hollar together at the big ole BBQ in the sky after a day of muddin.

See, then some will use the old "You never know when your time will come."

So who thinks Noah's Ark is frozen on Mount Ararat (sp?) ? I just saw that on the History Channel I think. Looks interesting. We just need a ginormous hairdryer to melt the ice and find out WHAT it is.

You're right. I could die tomorrow, I might just have a heart attack as I sit here... writin... g... th...

Nope, false alarm. Venison chili from lunch coming back up to say hi.

Look. No one knows when they're gonna die, unless they have a death clock or some divine knowledge the rest of us lack. I'll die when I die, but until that time I'm going to live my life to the fullest, to the best of my ability and enjoy the good times while dealin with the bad.
I'll never understand what ppl see in trying to "convert" another's beliefs. You have your faith/beliefs/idealogy... I have none. I've never seen anything that shows proof of a "divine one". When he stands before me as a man and shows me something miraculous, I'll consider believing.
Religions are based on the "faith" someone has for something they cannot prove... nor disprove. Faith is the belief in something unseen.

Do you really believe that the "biblical figure" I was named after was seriously swallowed by a whale, later spit uo on shore alive and unharmed?!

Shinesintx... I wouldn't believe a thing you said after finding your whole plagarized thread the other day anyways, so your words are fallin on deaf ears.

Turbo, I wont argue with you. You are right. I cut and pasted. I was wrong. But where you are misguided, or mistaken, is that Biblical verses are not my words. They are the words of God, calling his children.

Biblical versus are words of man, interpreted through other men over hundreds of years to fufill whatever philosophy they desired at that particular time.
Why is there an "Old Testament" and a "New Testament"?! Was it that the older version did not suit todays idealogy? Was it there were mistakes in some translations? Hmm... why the different versions of "the words of God"?

Sorry, I've seen to many wrongs in my life, and I've seen/heard of too many horrendous atrocities commited in "the name of God". I've seen too many "bad" people go unpunished for their wrongs. And I've seen too much devistation in this world.
You cannot tell me that all that is, all that has been and all that will be is a direct consequence of man and his actions.
If we are "his" children, why is there so much suffering? Don't try feeding me a line about it being "his" will. BS. Give me an honest legitimate reason, and leave you hypocritical secular BS at the door please. I'll patiently wait, while you try and push all your born again, G-tube feed hipocricy aside and think for yourself.

Evan all mighty was a good movie..lol

I dont believe there was an ark. Its just not possible to fit 2 of every type of animal on a boat. It would have to be miles long and certain animals couldnt live on a boat. There would have to be refridgerated sections on the boat for the cold weather animals. And if the whole world flooded would the water be fresh or would it be salt? Either way certain fish would die very quickly either way.

I had a favorite place and never wanted to eat anywhere else. I closed my mind to the possibility of any other barbecue being better

on a more broad way of thinking, this quote could apply to any and everything in life. a man could marry, have a familey and walk out in search of the ultimate women leading what might seem like a great life but leaving a path of broken hearts and basic devistaion in his past, typically figuring out that what he wants most is what he walked away from.

he could spend his whole life waiting on his ship to come in only to realize that he was standing on it.

why not just enjoy the barbecue?

dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with looking for answers and better things, just dont let it make you miss the good stuff.
