I do find it interesting that you completely skirted the Jew/Christian/friendship thing. I have personally read that myself in their book.

Exactly, you were able to spit it out at will...never even knowing what you were tasting. I knew there was something about you...pretty sure it was lack of the Holy Spirit.

Yep, I am closed minded. If it doesnt measure up to what The Word of God is, then I kick it out. I absolutely dont care. You are 100% correct. Nailed me! Congratulations.

You think that I have a hard time conveying a message? You dont know scripture as you think you do. If you did, you would know that Christ told his disciples that he had to leave...so that the Helper would come and guide them. Christ was reffering to the Holy Spirit. That which led me to question your your motives in the other thread.

Whats the only unforgivable sin? Rejecting the Holy Spirit.

Again, you make assumptions that are not true. Until the beginning of this very year I was the bible-thumping, holy-roller Pentecostal. Spirit-filled and baptized in Jesus' name as the scripture says. Tasting it? I ate it every day. I hid the word in my heart. Picked up my cross daily. So, on the first account you are wrong again. Don't categorizr people into generalizations.
Unless you are assuming again, please tell me in my ramblings where I said I reject the Holy Spirit.

This is your last reply until you go back to the other thread and make sure you've addressed every issue. You wanna talk about skirting issues. *shows mirror*

What happened to your Christian beliefs than? Why are you questioning it?

Did you find out that Allah was giving out free and many wives if you did whatever he wanted. Sure sounds like the Devil's work to me.

Your second question answers your first one. As for the second question, CrAz3D answered it. Read up on the Allegory of the Cave. Don't worry, it will not infringe upon your beliefs. It's an allegory used by Plato. Aside from faith and Christian beliefs, where else in life od you just know that you have the best and the right answer without ever looking? Ok, I don't know about FL, so I'll use Texas. I'm form there and I love me some barbecue. I had a favorite place and never wanted to eat anywhere else. I closed my mind to the possibility of any other barbecue being better. But I was wrong. I still like barbecue in general. I may not like yours best or even eat it exclusively. I know this is not in the same realm as heaven and hell, but you should get the point. I'm not gonna close my mind to somehting when there just may be something out there that makes more sense.

As for your quip, no. It's obvious you haven't read up on religions, or my previous posts. I've clearly stated I'm not a Muslim. A Muslim wouldn't deny Islam as Christians won't deny Christ. Muslims also do not go door knocking or witnessing. Which may burn some Christians since Muslims grow at 2.9% vs Chritians 2.3% a year. You'd also know that Allah is only Arabic for God. If you wanna get smart, there was polygamy in the bible as well. And yes, I could make a little false remark about your spirituality and make it sound devilish too.

I am not necessarily convinced on any religion. I was raised catholic and also attended a Pentecostal church for a while as a child. Ever since I have been about 16-17 I quit going to any church. Not that I don’t believe there is something out there. I just think it’s impossible to choose which religion is right. Every group thinks they are the right one. There is no true way to know until you die. I just hope that there is something after we die. It would be sad to think we just die and that’s it. But we actually wouldn’t even know we were dead if there is nothing after our lives here so it wouldn’t be that bad. It would be kind of like going to sleep without dreaming. People will argue until there fingers hurt from typing or their throats hurt from talking about how their religion is the right one. But in reality there is no proof. I believe in living a good life and being honest and fair and just being an overall good person in general. I believe that if you live a good life and try to do the best you can and there is in fact an after life you will be rewarded no mater who is the big man in charge. What ever God there is has to understand that we are bombarded with so many different ideas that its hard to choose just one.

Just a random thought. No argument intended. Do you think one should search for "truth" in their own way. you know, read this, listan to that. Or do you just live a good life and forget spirituality?

I agree with Dave 100%. Maybe it's because I had church shoved down my throat as a kid. My mom was Methodist (snoozefest) and my dad Pentecostal (scared the bageezis out of me). My dad was the thumper though and as soon as I was old enough to make my own decisions, I stopped going. Soon after my mom passed I started going again. My dad and I found a nice CALM easy going, non-descriminating church. I didn't have to dress up and there weren't people flailing around me. They let me be who I am and just listen to what they had to say.

I also have a VERY close friend who was a JW. I have sat with her and had her explain what they preach. I have several Catholic friends and have done the same with them, as well as some Mormon friends. I am VERY interested in hearing what people believe as there are such extremes out there. This is why I cannot say I am a Christian or I am Catholic or I am Muslim. I do not abide by one particular faith, I believe little bits of each one of them.

My friednd who was a JW is now gay. She was married to a guy I went to school with, he ended up cheating on her and they divorced. I knew from the moment I met her (before marriage) that she liked women. I could just tell. Anyhow, now that she's open about it and has a very loving girlfriend, her family has disowned her because it's not "their way". How sad is that? Her father was in the hospital for 3 days before she found out. And how did she find out? She had called one of her sisters asking for something and her sister said she was busy because of their dad in the hospital and the baby doing whatever. My friend was crushed. Her dad is fine now but the fact that no one bothered to tell her because she is living a life they don't approve of. She is not using drugs, she does not committ murders, she works hard at a good job and lives in a nice house with someone who loves her back. And it's not just her parents personal opinion... they've brought the church into it and they've all shunned her. It is terribly sad.

Anyhoo, I don't know enough about any part of religion to argue with anyone and counteract with scripture and stuff, I just was giving my $0.02 and had to say that I completely agree with Daveg99.

That's exactly where I'm at. I just take a little from each one...well, some of them. I'm not sure just living a good life is enough, but IMO if you actively search for the rigth way, you're not gonna be penalized if you cna't make up your mind.

You really think so? See, I look at it as we're living good lives, trying to do the best we can and do 'what's right' but there is no ONE right way. I don't think we're going to be penalized at all. I think the main thing is to just have faith that something created us (I believe in God) and we are supposed to do good and help others do good. But I know from personal experience that FORCING others to do what's right, isn't always right.
