I hate police!!
Stealth, thats one heck of an experience. I'm glad i live in a small town with not much crime. I only have tint on my vehicle for two reasons, theft is one and two, i like the way it looks. I know i moaned and groaned about getting the ticket, but i accept the fact i did wrong. I'll just have to pay the price of me liking how my truck looks with the tint.

Is it F'D up beyond belief for cops to commit ANY crime and hold us to the most strict standards? Yes it is.
They shouldn't be hired if thet have so much as a traffic violation because that PROVES that they are bad citizens and do not follow the law.
Exactly, they got tickets just at they are giving you a ticket now too, both of you were breaking the law... Everyone makes mistakes.

I can understand where Crazed is coming from on this one. I have been written a couple of bogus tickets in my few years of driving. I'm not saying that I hate cops. I truly respect and appreciate every one of them for doing what they do. However, you can't deny that many of them do push people around knowing that they won't be challenged because of their authority. I've met a lot of awesome, friendly and understanding cops. I was pulled over once for doing 95 in a 40. He let me off because I was paying my way through college and he knew what that ticket would do to my insurance. However, I have also met quite a few a$$holes. I was ticketed one time for having a burnt out headlight, when the officer admitted that he saw it go out. He gave me the ticket anyway, as if there was any way I could have fixed it. I didn't even know it had happened.
As far as the cops who get away with crimes, I've seen a lot of that too. I personally know a police dispatcher (not even an officer) who has been let off of two obvious DUIs because he worked for a police department.
I was once issued a citation for racing, in which the officer told me it was simply a 3 point violation, same as a speeding ticket. Had I not called my lawyer to have him fight it, I would not have found out it was actually a misdemeanor and I was facing a large fine, loss of my license, and possible jail time. I fought it purely on the basis that the officer had not informed me correctly on the nature of the crime, and that he had written on the ticket that I was not required to apper in court, when in reality I should have been arrested. Turns out this same officer, in the middle of my whole process, was arrested for assaulting another officer with a gun. I had a connection in the Public Defender's office, who passed all of this information along to the proper person and eventually had my charge dropped. The charges against that officer were also dropped, however. No explanation was ever given for why they dropped them. The newspapers did stress that he was around a 13 year veteran. I don't know if he was actually guilty of anything, but it just seemed like they were kinda sweeping it under the carpet and protecting their own.

You hate Police, but I bet they love you!
They have authority to complete a state vehicle inspection if they want to. You ever see officers 'breaking-down' an 18 wheeler and end up writing about 50 citations? They do everything from battery covers, proper connections, brake system operations as well as load paperwork and weight.
You have illegal tint, they are protecting of us due to your visual impairment. Not to mention the next officer's saftey walking to a car they can't see inside.
I bet you'd be pissed if someone tried to change lanes and struck your truck because he couldn't see you due to dark tint.

What gets me, is you can not tint below that line, but you can chop the top on a hot rod below that line......
