Good, next time you get your house or truck broken into or your mother/wife/gf is being followed/harrassed or for any reason you may have in the future of calling for a cops assistance, remember you hate us. One less call we'll have to handle!

I can understand down to talk to your or if they're tinted to make sure you aren't pointing a gun at them, but I can't see any (reasonable) legal basis for them being able to order you to roll the windows up.

And if there IS a rule that says they can tell you to roll the windows up, that's a stupid law.
Under the authority they are given by the state to enforce the laws applicable in the state. The cops saw the illegial tint on the windshield, I too would assume it was on the windows and make the person roll them up for inspection.

How much effort would it have taken to reach over and turn it down? Here the cop can give you a ticket if he can hear your radio within 50'. He also had every right to ask to see your tint.

Quit yer whinin.

So - now do you think Vader is right?

Because, from where I stand, this is pretty much as retarded as it gets. The OP is not a Mensa member, methinks.

My thoughts:

You were breaking the law.

Peace Officers (ie: proper name for a Cop) are hired by the local jurisdiction to ENFORCE THE LAW, hence the name "Law Enforcement Officer"

Cop writes you a ticket for breaking the law. He is doing his DUTY, not just his job.

Now, explain to me why you are complaining? And yes, once the officer has a reason to pull you over, all bets are off. He can do SO MUCH its not even funny (well, sometimes it is...) For instance: Taillight out. He can then opt to run your ID. This is a GREAT way to catch warranted persons. Speeding: He can then opt to arrest you (he can for ANY crime, its just a case of what is reasonable)-- in which case he then HAS to search your car for ANYTHING.

And whoever it was complaining about Minor in posession-- you need a life. This is even more upstanding of the Officer, doing his civil duty, and you are complaining. When you are an adult, and some kid is in possession of something, you will want to complain. But dont- remember, you think that is bad of cops.

For all those of you who constantly think that you and only you are the exception to the law, think about what it would be like if all these "stupid cops" or "harassing cops" (Dont even get me started on Harassment...) didnt write tickets or make arrests for all those things that you thought were OK. The world would not need a single cop if that were the case, because we would be lawless. Is that what you want?

Grow up, take responsibility for your actions, and get a life. Oh BTW-- Turn your music down. I dont want to hear it.
