Eh, didn't mean to stir any b/s. But a person does have freedom of speech and opinions, right?

Do not dis on my beliefs, I believe in the life I live, I follow everything by my own standards and live up to what I think is right. So far it has got me to a good place and healthy state of mind.

for others that have a problem with what I said and feel it is necessary to say something about it, please do it in a PM.

apologize to the mods...

Isn't life suppose to be more holesome and rewarding?

Our era will be discussed in history as a time mankind learned the hardway about "selfishness".

I'm kinda late but I just got home from work. Ive been hearing people talk about it all day but everyone had a different story. Been watching CNN for a while and I'm in absolute shock. I cant believe what happened and how the university responded to it. Surely a few people will lose their jobs which is nothing compared to the 33 lives lost.

My prayers go to those who are injured and to the familes of the murdered.

Why not let the police finish their investigation before screaming for someones head. This just happend and aside from the deaths/injuries no one outside the PD knows anything at all.

Im just curious to see if the scums from westburo baptist church are going to come around to these students funerals when they take place and wave their signs. It would be a perfect opportunity for them to get media coverage. Im sure that nut Shirley Phelps-Roper will have something to say about all this like "thank God for dead students" or something terrible like that. But this is a whole 'nother story I guess...

I agree, world is getting more and more evil. I am ready for the rapture when God takes His believers and children with Him and we (or atleast some of us) can kick back and watch the evil be punished

Actually, there is nothign new under the sun.
All of this has been hapening pretty much since Eve took the first bite of the apple. Cain killed Able and it continues today.
The differences are.
We have alot more people. Just for example: If you have 1 murder with a population of 1000, then you will have 2 murders with a populatin of 2000 etc etc etc.... we have about 670,494,469 in the world, so at 1 of 1000 then that would add to an expected 670,495 murders. Percentage wise there is less murder than there was the day when Cain killed Able.
Also now we have technology for media to cover it and inform us instantly as each one happens.

I believe the incidence of individuals committing this specific type of violence is increasing disproportionately to the population increase. As our society becomes more fragmented, and more people are disaffected, we will continue to see an increase of individuals perpetrating mass violence as we saw in the Columbine massacre.

In addition we can expect that this incidence has planted the seeds of future similar acts in the conscious of those who are predisposed to this behavior. The worst of these events seem to have occurred in the last 25 years as evidenced with the McDonald’s, Luby’s, Columbine and now Virginia Tech massacres.

I was on vacation a couple weeks and rarely listened to or watched the news and found I was happier and less stressed.

It all seems to be bad news that brings you down, angers you, or its irritating advertising.

I promise you your happier with out it! I use to watch the 10 oclock news every single night and read the news paper every day. I finally got tired of it and stoped about 5 years ago. What a drastic change I had in my daily attitude and outlook on life in genral, it was almost an over night change.

hey there is more bad things happening because the population is growing and there will be more sick people out of a higher population, these are rare events but there are more people and far more media coverage than ever before so more people know about these massacres that have been happening since the dawn of man
