EXACTLY....gun law makers think that it will help out crime when it just hurts law abiding citizens that obey the law and are gun enthusiasts(like me), criminals rarely if ever go into a gun shop and buy a gun to go kill people, its called....the black market...try bucking down on that

Cost me $150 to get my ****ing firearms license, had to sit through some BS course. And Im supposed to pay to register my guns. Yup, every POS who plans on knocking over the 7-11 is gonna go out and get a license and register his illegally purchased gun from Asia liberals

That is sad... When I first heard the news Fox reported 1 death, 17 injuries. Now, getting back to my desk, it's 30 dead?? Holy cow. I really feel for the families of those students. Thoughts and prayers to all...

And to the shooter, rot in hell...

I keep debating to go spend the $275 to get my CCW permit for Nebr. Of course, the city of Omaha allows peoples individual business to decide if people can carry in or not, but the city won't allow businesses to decide who can smoke and who can't...

I guess everyone but the criminal knew it was a gun-free zone. Oh wait...that's why they call them criminals. Silly me. Had there been people there able to defend themselves, I would imagine many people would have been saved. But no...wait for the police...they'll protect you. Just go hide somewhere. Sorry...for the sarcasm...it's just frustrating to see something this bad happen when it could have possibly been stopped long before the police stumbled on the shooter.

From what I just heard the shooter is dead , either suicide or from police, nobody knows as of yet, This is really bad, when kids have to fear this type of violence on the University Level. The families are in my prayers, no excuse for this type of violence from anyone, this is just some looser individual who is suicidal & has no respect for human life, & wants to be remembered for some violent act............so unessesarry. I hope this sick pertitrator rots in Hell for ever!

why didn't they lock down the school when there was to separate shootings that had enough time between them to send warnings for the rest of the campus

the blaming game will be harsh

didn't this happen to them in the beginning of the year

This is truely sad. I feel for the families and friends of the victims.

From what I've heard so far, there is going to be a lot of talk about how this was handled and about gun laws. I'm getting the impression that the campus police might have been slow to react.

It's pretty crazy that things like this can happen in this day and age. A lot of you have made good points about the gun laws. The criminals aren't going to abide by gun laws. Why in he!! would they? They are criminals! The people who are hurt by the gun laws are people like the thirty-two innocent people who were killed by this maniac.

It's pretty sad that there are people in charge of things that would rather be reactionary than proactive. It clearly is the deadlier approch.

I hope something good can come of this, but I have to be realistic. The one thing that things like this do to me, is get me more interested in being able to defend myself and family if there ever is a need.

They did all the gun laws here in Canada. Protcts the criminals and punishes victims. If your guns are stolen by some low life piece of **** your goin to have a court date. If someone breaks into your house and you even touch them your goin down for assault, shoot them and your gonna be sent to jail. Yup, those liberals sure have some great ideas

**** thats just one part, I also had to spend $15 to get a passport style photo taken to send in with the course results and another $60 to apply for the license itself.

Used to be $10 and a trip to the RCMP office to get an FAC(good for 5 years). Come back the next day and pick it up, go to a store and buy whatever you want

That sucks, all we had to do was do a background check and meet with the sheriff. From there he makes the decision and then just pay 20$ for a printed "No Pic" permit that is good for one year. There was no application fee or anything

This was the result of a $2,000,000,000 idea by the liberal government(still doesnt work). The aplication was 3 pages of BS plus I had to get someone to sign the back of my picture to verify that it is me

The old way was similar to yours, pay the $10 and when you go back the next day if everything was good you got the certificate and you didnt have to worry about it for 5 years.

Yes, they had an escaped con doing the same thing there earlier.

Unfortunately, every administrator, officer, janitor, etc will get blamed for not doing the right thing....hindsight being 20/20 and all.

Best we can do is pray for the families and hope that the subpar members of our voting populace and government will finally realise that the only people effected by laws are those who obey them.

230 grains of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
