I hate that for you.

Is it normal to still be getting snow this time of year?

Oh yeah, I remember you telling us that.
I guess I could brag by saying my tomato plants are about a foot tall, and my squash is about 8 inches tall, carrots are just starting to come up.

I bet that if you do a "Global Warming dance" you might be able to get at least an extra 2-4 inches if you need it.
...just a little tip.
Jamz, Vader, Raoul...I know you are trying to derail this thread, but I found this article pretty interesting..

Especially this part:
"We need to take a cue from White America and re-elect our leadership every four years. White folks realize that power corrupts. That’s why they placed term limits on the presidency. They know if you leave a man in power too long he quits looking out for the interest of his constituency and starts looking out for his own best interest.
We’ve turned Jesse and Al into Supreme Court justices. They get to speak for us for a lifetime."

Stoopid weather..
I have a really quick question/comment on this whole Imus thing as I've tried to ignore it and let it play out, but it just won't die.
1. What he said was wrong and crossed the line into libel because those girls are not noteable public figures. (ie. politicians, celebrities)
2. He probably did deserve to lose his job as he's done this too often for too long.
3. He should be recognized for all of the charities he's done and the ranch program he puts on for less fortunate children. Many of which are minorities.
My biggest point of contention is this and it's something I can't understand and maybe someone could help me see what I am missing. (I'm being serious here)
When the Rev. Al Sharpton says "he offended our community", is he:
1. Refering to the American community as a hole (including all races)
OR
2. Refering to just the African American or black community
My initial thought is that he is referring to just the African American community.
If so, then how is this not segregating? It identifies one population of individuals as different from all the other individuals.
What I'm getting at is, if Rudy Guiliani or another prominent white male in politics, said "he offended our community" in referring to the white community, wouldn't that be a racisit thing to say? Almost equivalent to saying the "KKK community"?
I guess I just don't get it. I mean in terms of race, I don't really see how identifying yourself and others as separate from others (by saying our community) is conducive to creating ONE community of people; which is our ultimate goal in eliminating racism.
If kids grow up to see everyone as all being apart of the same thing, then they are less likely to identify others as different and then are less likely to form negative opinions regarding those people. It's very hard to hate or be derogitory to someone you know well.
I guess I'm just confused as to how Rev Al Sharpton is helping the removal of racism?
BigHersh, can you help me out here? There has to be something I'm missing.
Thanks,
Duke
