Dad in coma, prayers appreciated
Well prayers are still being sent, make sure your brother knows that we are praying for him too. I can only imagine his take, by now he's probably trying to blame himself. Let him know that he had no control and prayers are being sent by the multitudes, nothing happens with out gods say. Don't want to give false hope but your best christmas gift from God could be a miracle to come. If not then there is always a better reason.
Still in my thoughts and prayers....
Never, never , never give up hope. A friend of my moms fell down a flight of stairs 2 years ago and was hurt really bad internally as well as a bunch of broken bones. Shes 70 something years old...after about a month of being in the hospital, unresponsive, the doctors were saying the same thing...time to think about what the family is going to do..Long story short..she slept thru Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, was read her last rights from the Priest 3 times and had many surgeries during that time. Its a year later and she is back home and doing just fine.
So again....never lose faith or give up hope

More prayers and thoughts go out to your and yours. Wish I had some "magic" words to say to make things easier for you and your family, but of course I don't.
Be strong, make sure he knows how much he's loved and I have to agree, read to him, talk to him, hug him, if nothing else, make sure he knows how you feel.

Thanks for the continued response. There really hasn't been much improvement in the second half of this week. He continues to breath on his own and is only on tube feeds and no IV's. They are trying to transfer him to a nursing home now so we are trying to find a good place for him.
