Heat building up in the tunnel to the secret door must have had something to do with it.

It's illegal because some cretin in the US of A decided that all the "Negroes" were smoking up and running around raping and killing and causing general mayhem.

Don't forget 'Reefer maddness' and the Messicans. FWIW Reefer Madness was a movie made back in the 30's portraying weed as some sort of devil weed that caused people to lose control of themselves and commit unspeakable acts.

Prohibition on marijuana also started when people finally admitted that prohibition on alcohol wasn't working.

That's a bunch of bull. No one can EVER convince me that THC is illegal because a certain group was doing what you described.

THC will mess you up much faster than alcohol, and with less ingestion. The LIFELONG changes that can and commonly do occur in the brain with ONLY ONE EXPOSURE is ridiculous. Risk of heart attack is increased x8 (much higher than even regular cigarettes).

It has been clinically proven that marijuana smokers ALL IN ALL are in far worse health than non-smokers OR even TOBACCO smokers, call in sick to work more days of the week (wasted productivity), is an open book for ALL KINDS of cancer, etc. etc. It goes on and on.

Surely alcohol and tobacco will do those things too, but THC is far more potent, dangerous, and expensive as far as lost productivity goes.

No wonder America is turning into a third world country.

While I could this forum with studies soundly refuting pretty much everything you said, or at least put it proper perspective, but obviously you have no interest in knowing the truth, you'd rather hit a few anti-drug websites and just parrot what you see. You've obviously never read any studies on the subject, because some of what you posted has been proven to be completely false, even by the governments own admission.

Here's some things you obviously don't know.

The AMA has consistently stated that casual use of marijuana poses no significant health threat, in fact they have been forced to address that issue on several occasions when they were misquoted by the ODCP and other anti-drug agencies.

The level of impairment from THC is no where near that of alcohol, plus people under the influence of THC are aware of their impairment and in driving studdies, have been shown to compensate by driving more carefully. Alcohol on the other hand not only causes significant impairment, it also dulls the users awareness of their impairment.

There has never been a single accident in the US where marijuana use has been found to be a significant contributing factor.

The top three drugs in terms of loss of life, loss of productivity and overall economic loss are in order of severity, alcohol, tobacco and meth. You won't find marijuana on that list.

And lastly, if you had taken the time to check things out, you would find that the history of marijuana prohibition is indeed founded in racism, specifically against hipsnaics and african americans.

Now you can argue all you want, but before you try, you might try to at least educate yourself beyond the propganada you've obviously been looking at and read the studies claimed to prove certain negative effects from marijuana. You'll find flawed methodology, conclusions that are best a stretch of the imagination, and "harm" extrapolated from raw data that does not withstand clinical and anecdotal evidence.

Remember the study that "proved" smoking marijuana reduces ones IQ? The claim was loosely based on HEAVY use, far more than the typical userand the reduced IQ was at best a temporary effect involving only a few points, rather insignificant, and further analysis of that study proved that casual use can actually increase your IQ, which is why you don't see the government flaunting that study too much anymore.

So do you want to have this debate and learn something or do you want to keep your head in the sand?

There you go again.........

Why try to confuse people with facts, when their minds are already made up.

WTF did you come up with that?

Before the .gov stuck their nose into people's private business in the 1920's this country was progressing just fine. The Temperance movement lead to the prohibition of alcohol. Whether or not you will admit it, prohibitions lead to rum running and the involvement of organized crime. The ensuing violence lead obsensibly to the 1934 National Firearms Act. When Prohibition ended a dismal failure the .gov was stuck with a boat load of employees with nothing to do. Since our beloved government can't seem to fire someone they created another job for them, attack firearms and weed. Up an until that time Marijuana was legal and taxed. Prior to that people could order cocain and opium through the mail. Our war on drugs has taken the same path as prohibition has and people are too stupid to realize WTF is going on. People will always grow, make, and sell drugs and people will always use drugs. In the meantime the average law abiding citizen of this country is stripped of their freedom and people like you celebrate it.

Huh, I remember hearing some of that in like kindergarten as a scare tactic against drugs, alcohol, and tobacoo. They later told us that if you used any of it then our pee pee's would fall off too.

Here is an interesting story from Stanford University Newpaper as reported by CNN.
Fairly Respectable and trustworthy, right?

E-mail worse for IQ than marijuana

Researchers at the University of London’s Institute of Psychiatry recently released a report showing that workers bombarded with phone calls, e-mails and text messages suffer a greater loss in IQ than marijuana users.

Glenn Wilson, a psychiatrist at King’s College London University, and his team of researchers monitored the IQ of 80 volunteers while they performed problem-solving tasks, first in a quiet environment and then while being distracted with e-mails and phone calls. The study found that people balancing a steady inflow of messages while attempting to work experienced a 10-point decrease in IQ — more than double the four-point drop caused by smoking marijuana.
So guess we'd better outlaw multitasking....

Here's something you should read.

Harry J. Anslinger

Anslinger was an extremely ambitious man, and he recognized the Bureau of Narcotics as an amazing career opportunity -- a new government agency with the opportunity to define both the problem and the solution. He immediately realized that opiates and cocaine wouldn't be enough to help build his agency, so he latched on to marijuana and started to work on making it illegal at the federal level.

Anslinger immediately drew upon the themes of racism and violence to draw national attention to the problem he wanted to create. Some of his quotes regarding marijuana...

"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others."

"...the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races."

"Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death."

"Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men."

"Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing"

"You smoke a joint and you're likely to kill your brother."

"Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind."

And he loved to pull out his own version of the "assassin" definition:

"In the year 1090, there was founded in Persia the religious and military order of the Assassins, whose history is one of cruelty, barbarity, and murder, and for good reason: the members were confirmed users of hashish, or marihuana, and it is from the Arabs' 'hashashin' that we have the English word 'assassin.'"

And the law enforcement people involved will most likely go to a bar, enjoy their drug and slap themselves on the back and drive home under the influence.

Ain't America great !
I am soooo in the wrong business.

That literally made me feel kinda ill...a little.

Here's my opinion on MJ.

It's HARMLESS ! ! !

I have smoked it in my younger years...well, I'm only 32, but you know what I mean. I didn't wanna rape, steal, murder, or anything crazy like that after smoking a big fatty. I found that I was a more peaceful person, I understood things easier, I could relate to others, and I was more willing to listen. Now, I am not saying I was a better person by any means. I am simply saying, that drugs (pot is not a drug) and alcohol will make a person crazy, and it they have horrible long lasting effects on the body.

Now, when I said pot is not a drug...think about that for a minute. MJ is a natural plant that grows from the earth that God put here for you and me to enjoy. Drugs are the things that have to be "created", coke, acid, ADVIL, etc. Those are drugs. I believe the government doesn't want us to use MJ because it will make the world a better place to live.

If I ever got put in jail because I was smoking pot on my back porch, I would have to ask, "WHAT THE HELL DID I DO WRONG?" "Who am I hurting? Why am I in jail? Because some *** says it's "wrong"?

Anyway...it's pointless to express my feelings and thoughts here. I don't know what I was thinking.

FIRST; DO YOU HAVE TO YELL AT MY EYEBALLS?

Didn't the artical say that they estimated the facility could harvest every 60 days? That don't mean that every plant was being harvested, that just means that they were set up on a 60 day harvest cycle.

I have mixed feelings on this.
I think that if you have a long name,(over five characters) pot should be illeagl, ok?

Also, if you do not have at least, AT LEAST, three vowels in your name, pot is illeagal for you too. OK?

NO POT FOR YOU!
