April 15th is getting closer

I am normally a procrastinator but this year I did my taxes early. I finished them about 30 minutes a go. Best of all I only owe $250.
Who still hasn't done their taxes yet.
Who is spending their refund on mod for their truck.

Self employed, pay estimated quarterly, was over by $175 this year. I just rolled it over and applied it to my next quarterly payment.
The new deduction for State sales tax helped me quite a bit. Since I bought my truck last year, all that sales tax is deductible. There is also a formula to estimate how much you've paid in total sales tax so you can deduct it.

If I had to do all that, I would need an accountant. I am terrible even keeping my check book balanced.

Heck, when you're like me, and can't save money no matter what, you just let them tax you at single 0 even when you can file married 7, and then enjoy that 6K check every February.

Yes, I'm letting the Gvmt. enjoy that interest, but I figure it'll help with the war and stuff.

I love tax returns!

I can't do it either. I had someone do my tax return for me last year, but this year I used TurboTax online. Spent about 2 hours and the site walked me through a bunch of questions and then figured it all out for me. Best $40 I've ever spent.

I'll second that motion.

I went to a tax guy last year, www.turbotax.com this year. Couldn't be happier. I'm a little upset the IRS can't get it together and make their own site with all the W-2 and 1099-INT pre-populated. I mean, they've got on hand anyhow.

Haven't done ours yet, we have to pay this year. Why give the government the money sooner than we have to? They'll just blow it on something stupid anyhow!

Manual labor jobs with cash payment are so nice around tax time.

Not when you're driving a septic tank truck. I'm fed up and tired of taking crap off of people.
