Just made my appt. with my old tax hag. Attempted to do it myself this year, and said I owed $280. Uhhhhhh... NO! I haven't paid the feds.. .ever! So I screwed up somewhere... oh well. I may owe the state a few bucks, or get a few back. It's a crap shoot every year. The Tan Terror is overdue for a mod so hopefully the tax hag can work her magic.

If you give her a kiss, she will turn into a beautiful princess and you will get a refund.

(it's on page 117 of the Schedule A Instructions)

Didn't the government say taxes are a temporary thing to get us through the war? Either they will stop collecting any time now or we are going to stay at war forever.

Yeah, but that was like WWII.

Government is addicted to our cash like a crackhead needs crack.

On a related note, just finished mine yesterday. Took 7 hours, used TurboTax for the third year in a row. Makes things pretty easy.

Here is a helpful hint:

Next time load the TurboTax onto a computer and use the keyboard/mouse.

What's the hurry? We still have 11 1/2 days to file for an extension.

The marriage penalty sucks!

I don't do my own taxes anymore, but I thought they were phasing out the penalty for being married.

The first year I was married (about 10 years ago) we paid about $2,800 more in income tax than if we had lived together.

BTW, I already got my (pretty small) refund this year. Filing electronically, my accountant had my refund into my account within two weeks.

I got it down to 2500 using your technique. I don't make all that much $$$$, but I'm single, no kids, low interest rate on my mortgage, no debt (literally, other than mortgage).

I understand it though, you can't have me walking around with too much money, its not fair the the leeches.

Uuhh , the marriage penalty was done away with, it sounds as if either one or both are claiming head of household.

You either have kids and probably a mortgage or you are loaning the government way too much money.
