April 15th is getting closer
It was the kids that got me audited.
I got a phone call from the IRS about my Return:
"Sir, how many kids do you have?"
"Twelve"
"Are they all under 18 years in age?"
"Of course, they wouldn't be kids if they weren't."
"Do they live in your house?"
"No, I keep them in a pen out in the yard."
"We'll be right over."

Just be glad you don't live in Canada. The government taxes you to death. I believe the income tax goes something like this.
If you make 0 to $26,000 they take 26%
27,000 to $38,000 they take 28%. $40,000 to $56,000 they take 34% $56,000 to $95,000 they take 38% and $95,000 + they take 42%. THAT SUCKS.
Plus eveything here has tax on it GST (government sales tax) and PST (provincial sales tax)

My girlfriend graduated in January from Law school. She accepted a position at the IRS.
She's not a IRS agent, she's the attorney that takes the assets, (assigned to the small business section)
