Ow, my head hurts, I am never touching that fog light switch again.
I think the locals might complain if I manually propped and toggled my unit on a clear night while I was lit.

but it sounds like it's ok to to that where you are BJ

drop out feature for fog lamps

Thanks so much for the comments

Defensive driving and accident prevention courses have been teaching for years the need for drivers to be ever aware of

Making moves that can trigger road rage in the oncoming drivers, or others who share the road systems with us.

And reccomend that headlamps be used on low beam when meeting oncoming drivers

And that fog lamps be extinguished when the weather is clear

To respect the eyes of the oncoming drivers, and to
be ever cautious of situations that can create split second vision problems with the drivers of vehicles we meet

Do to the dangers of vehicle head on collisions

The other drivers on the highways are really friends we have not met yet

and we should not meet by accident

Have a really nice week, and good luck in your travels

BJ

I still don't see how fog lights are causing accidents or provoking incidents of road rage. There sitting a foot off the ground I would think about the only thing I'm gonna annoy down there are the squirrels, and that's just for a brief second

drop out feature on control of fog lamps

Thanks for the comments much apreciated

Its only the approaching motorists operating fog lamps on clear nights that either have

Not found the the on off switch for the fog lamps

Or do not respect the eyes of the other drivers who share the roads

That create create visual annoyance for other motorists

and are concerns for drivers who want to maintain good accident free driving records

Our laws call for fog lamps to be used in limited visibility weather conditions only

Have a nice weekend

Just so you know. Even if you double space, that doesn't mean that you can start almost every line with a capital. That's not even close to the queens english.

Personally I think you played the part of the teacher in the movie Ferris Buller's Day Off. "........anyone, anyone."

I do know that next time I am going up to Silverstar to ski, driving the Navigator with Xenon lights, I will make sure to have my lights, foglights, and what the hell, even a flashlight or two taped to the ski rack, all the time looking for a Freestar so I can flash my high beams at you. At least it will give you something to talk about at your next lecture. "Now class.......anyone, anyone."

He better pray he doesn't run into me.......

9005 high beam bulbs in the fog lights

Xenarc HID headlights (these have absolutely sick highbeams too if anyone's gotten to see them)

Two 150 watt each KC daylighters mounted behind the grill for my truly sick head. For comparison, the typical highbeams are 55-65 watts.

I will come right at him with all of them blazing.

ok this is the strangest thread i have read here...

robert johnson, i think i understand that u are trying to say that fog lamps are only meant to be used during certain driving conditions...

but why did u feel that u needed to start a thread for it? i think we have bigger concerns on the roads than peoples foglamps...

i hope u stress that in your class...

50+ years of accident free driving is impressive.

but reading this thread makes me want to mount a freznel lense in the bed of my truck

Thanks for the comments, I believe there is a reason that the provinces and states have made regulations federally that we must have Numbers or I.D. on little metal plates that are attached to the vehicles and visable to other drivers

and there are people out there who are employed to enforce
highway safety on the road systems across north america

who make a living and career of protecting people who operate
vehicles on the road systems

we feel recognition for safe drivers should be given in reduction of insurance rates

and Not increased to traffic fines and trips to the court system
with loss of wages to do the attendance

Have a safe day and good luck with your project

BJ
