Sorry, but I'm going with Toyota.
I'ts called an alignment. Lots of cars need them. I doubt it left the factory that way, as they check that stuff.
Rather, it likely got out of whack when it was trasported, or by someone at the dealership not being too careful.
Most every real auto mag goes over the entire car to make sure everything is within factory spec. That's the only way to get a true apples-to-apples comparison.
"Boy, this car sure drives like crap. It looks like the tires are flat, but hey, it left the factory that way so we'll go ahead and test it."

alb1K, I think I can shed some light on this whole thing for you.
IN July 2002, I was the unproud owner of a 2001 F-150 SuperCab Lariat that was bought back through the Florida lemon law. That was my 5th Ford truck and it nearly got me killed on a couple of occasions with it's sudden and untimely stalling issues. That same year I was a subscriber to CR and based on their report I bought a brand new 2002 Tundra TRD Limited Access Cab. It had every available option. I had even once said "I will never own another Ford".
Between July 2002 and August 2003 I put 35000 miles on the Tundra. I buy and resell houses for a living. I tow multiple types of trailers, I haul my classic cars around, and I do alot of traveling in the Souteast. The Tundra was overall one of the most miserable vehicles I have ever owned. Here is why.
The entire braking system had to be replaced for chronic warped rotors, warped so badly that it would spill coffee out the the cup in the cupholder. And no, I am not one of those two footed drivers or anything like that. The new redesigned brake system was not much better, the new system just warped less. The coffee did not acutally spill out of the cup with the new system.
The CD changer jammed twice and ate several of my best CD's which you have to wait to get back since the service department will not extract them for you, they send them out for that.
The ABS light and Check engine lights come on and off when they want and there was never a diagnosed problem.
And finally, several equipment rental stores around here would not allow me to tow their stuff with the Tundra and the towing shop advised me against putting elelctric brakes on it. This was due to the angles of the bumper, frame and factory receiver hitch would cause damage, something that I thought was hogwash until it finally happened to me. I was backing my dad's car trailer in to a lower spot and nearly destroyed the back of the truck when the trailer made contact with the bumper. this was normal trailer backing I do every week. I guess the frame is much higher above the rear axle and the bumper and causes this problem at certain angles. then a new rear bumper was $300.
OH, and the guy that lives across the street from me is the parts manager at my local dealer. He hates the Tundra. He told me "the Tundra is the biggest piece of ***** that Toyota has ever made"
The entire time I owned the Tundra, it never got any better than 10 mpg. I was spending $200 a week on gas. the highway mileage was 10mpg.
Here are the areas that the Tundra blows the doors off the 150.
When unloaded the Tundra hauls ***, it's like a Corvette, nimble, easy to drive and park, and instant throttle repsonse. That all changes with any kind of load on it though.
The AC in the Tundra is awesome, I could frost the windows in August Florida heat.
The paint, and interior quality on the Tundra was very good and it had very good leather and comfortable front seats with power recliners and lumbar.
The bottom line, I am back to an F-150 and I love it. It's built just as good as the Tundra but it does have it's drawbacks. I just learned to buy and drive what suits my lifestyle. So far the 2005 F-150 does exaclty what I need it to do, when I need it and how I need it. It lives it life towing a trailer, I get 12 mpg. and it pulls it fine.
I have also long since cancelled my subscription to Consumer Reports. The dropped the ball on their truck comparo. I also followed their advice on kitchen appliances and got burned on that too.
The Tundra double cab is another attempt at a real truck. I think the new Tacoma is probably better than the Tundra. Just remember, you are buying a awesome air conditioner on wheels and that's about it. But if you don't use it as a truck as 90% of people don't, then God Bless, just make sure you increase the limit on your Shell Credit card.
Of course, I bought a 2005 Mustang GT that gets more use these days too. It is absolutely one of the best built cars I've ever seen. Every bit as good or better than a toyota or Honda.
