Sorry, but I'm going with Toyota.

I really wanted to get a F-150 so for the last 6 months I've been waiting on Ford to fix the problems. I thought that maybe they would fix the vib with the 2005's...but, no. I've test driven several and I feel it. I know several people that have it too and some didn't develop it until > 9k miles on thier 2004's! So, I'm going with the Toyota Tundra Double Cab with 282hp. It is really sweet and is about $4k less than the Lariat. DRIVES SMOOTH.

Good luck to all.

Be gone then! Your insane for 'feeling' the vibe in all those trucks. There is no problem. Sucker.

Enjoy your 'yota!

I have been here with my 04 for some time now. Is this Vibe thing really freaking people out? Is it really that common where you can go to a lot and drive a bunch with this "vibe". Are these guys people who read something on this board and then "sense" something in the trucks they test drive.

Anyways, sorry to see you go jake enjoy the midsize, they make great offroad trucks.

Its your decision on which vehicle to buy but I hope you didn't base your decision on some vibe scare! The whole vibe issue has been blown out of proportion! I'll bet that out of all the new 150's made that .01% have a vibration. This could be said for any mass produced trucks out there. These are good trucks and don't judge them by heresay.

cool, enjoy

The vibe issue is funny. I have met folks that have had it and never noticed it or thought that it was a problem. My truck and others I have been in doesn't have the first problem.

Tundra is ok in my opinion....I was an import guy but I would never think to buy a truck from Toyota. I have a 04 scab xlt 5.4 and LOVE IT!

My buddy has a Tundra. I'm not a big fan of it. It's not even a truck, it's a Trucklette.

Bye.

glad you waited until Toyota put some more umph into that engine, 282hp should make it a much better product. Is that $4K less in SR5 trim or in the Limited trim? Enjoy it but watch out for bad brakes, cold weather knocks and misaligned beds and cabs b/c that is the Tundra's cross to bear. I have to say that I would be willing to bet that you felt phantom vibes in those you test drove b/c of paranoia.

I sold a 02 Tacoma crewcab to buy my 04 SCREW. I had the Toyota back to the dealer numerous time for defects and a recall. 3 times for dash rattles alone. I'll never own rice again. I love my vibe free, rattle free Ford. And the Tundras are ugly to boot.

FatMan66, I agree with your statment. I was driving my 04 4x4 5.4 scab for 500 miles before I found this message board. After reading I started watching My cab and was wondering if I to had the Vibe. Everytime I felt a bump I would look at my bed. I alternate driving with My Expedition. In compairing the two, I honestly feel that My truck is a much smoother ride that My SUV.

Enjoy the Tundra. I have a friend you drives an '02 Tundra and loves it....he does, however, honestly like my '04 F150 SuperCrew better, and so do I!

Toyota isn't a bad truck. I just hate hearing people make a decision based on paranoia or misinformation or even misguided reputations (good or bad)
