Why is it that Saudi Arabia is nowhere on the radar screen of Bush's war on terrorism?
Prior to 9/11 I would have agreed with you on that statement for 2 simple reasons. First of course is OIL, wouldn’t matter if the President was Republican or Democrat the fact of the matter is without OIL we would have NO economy, and no President was going to go attack a Middle Eastern country and risk losing a supplier or suppliers.

Second we needing them to base our troops there because of Iraq. Now we are done with Iraq, as far as removing Saddam and we have or are going to be getting our troops out of Saudi Arabia. This, in my opinion, has got to have the Saudi’s a little nervous and is a good card for America.

The reason is because now that we control Iraq for the time being until it is rebuilt and has a stable government we have a new supplier of OIL and friend. This kind of cuts Saudi out of the picture IF America so chooses.

I honestly believe we will not be attacking Saudi any time soon and NOT because President Bush is a Republican President. The socialist liberals of this country have just about made it impossible for another Iraq, while they are busy tearing down America and making us look much weaker then we really are.

Now in all fairness there is NO way anyone can blame Saudi on President Bush. The fact is we were somewhat dependant on them. This is not a republican issue as far as America being dependant on foreign oil. It is a bipartisan issue we have had Democrats in office who have done nothing as well as far as dependency on foreign oil. Jimmy Carter comes to mind and LONG gas lines. Then lets not forget Clinton was in office for 8 LONG years and did NOTHING on the issue as well. Now I do not blame Saudi on Clinton only pointing out a FACT that he did nothing as well.

So we come to the question on what is a possible solution to the problem we have with Saudi. They are not doing much, some but not much on their own nut cases at home so here is my solution, agree or not at least I am offering one.

Once we have Iraq up and running and capable of pumping the oil needed we completely STOP buying any oil for Saudi and DEMAND that are allies do the same and STOP buying oil from Saudi. In a matter on months, if my solution were to take affect you would see big changes in Saudi. Saudi has nothing really to sale the world to support themselves so without the ability to sale the oil under their feet’s they are useless to the world. Kind of gets me back to economics again. One must have a product to sale, and then there must be a market for the product. No market, no economy and you’re a broke dink sitting in the middle of the desert with no where to drive your 4X4…

Agreed!

I wasnt trying to place blame on Bush for what goes on with Saudi Arabia...this is definitely a bi-partisan issue that is much greater than him.

I do still really wonder if things wouldnt be different with someone else in office...say McCain. I know I know....you think he is a turncoat ******* boy. I still think he would be a great leader.

I know, and in all honesty I never really look at it as trying to win but rather provoking thought. If I can provoke someone into serious thought, and not just spouting lines then I feel like I have done something.
