The dreaded P0172 code...YIKES!
Hi all...hoping for a little guidance here. I apologize in advance for jumping in with questions right off the bat. I went through and changed some things trying to get rid of this code. Sometimes it's accompanied by the P0175 also. So far I have done the PCV valve, PCV hose, and changed out the MAF sensor...twice. I guess before this becomes a total wild goose chase that turns my $1500 expy into a $10k $1500.00 expy by replacing every part down the line...lol...If I end up spending that much money on this thing I want to at least have it be a real head turner, not by changing out a bunch of parts. nyone have any clue which direction to go next? I am attaching 2 sets of pics from the live data test. The first set is at idle, and the 2nd set is at 2500 rpm. Thanks in advance for any help here.

Alright so a bur on the thread blocked screwing the connector all the way down on the schrader valve. I got that squared away and the gauge worked. Once started it held right at 30lbs at idle and then when I unplugged the vacuum hose from the regulator, it jumped up to 40 and held steady. I just grabbed a tester in case I needed one for the future with this beast.

The vacuum hose was dry. I did read about the tester dropping pressure being possibly a leaking injector. I did notice the pressure drop when it was shut off but I didn't even think about it being a problem until I read about it after the fact. I plan on diving in again tomorrow and checking it more closely. I'm hoping it dropped because the tester connection wasn't all that great. There was some fuel leaking from the connection. It felt tight putting it on, but when I took it off it seemed loose. The last time this happened, I got a code for one side and thought maybe it was left over from before I switched out the MAF sensor so I cleared it. Then the next day I got 2 codes. 172 and 175 for both banks. Would it be the norm to have a leaky injector on both sides? I just dumped some seafoam in the tank tonight and running it hoping it will clean the system out in case it's a dirty injector.

Seafoam is the wrong product for fuel injected engines, and it's rough on cats. You should have used Techron or another additive that has PEA (polyetheramine).
To check for leaky injectors, lift the fuel rail with the injectors and prop it up. Put a sheet of paper under the injectors and turn the key on to prime the system.
