You should paint your two tone black like how I did mine. Its pretty straight forward just takes time. I've had mine painted for over a year with no problems.

OK update, the drop is on the truck now. Didnt go as low as I thought it would but I am guessing the stock springs had sagged. it was supposed to be a 3/3 drop got 2.5/2.75 ok so I guess that close and it will settle some.

Found out during the install my front right shock was pretty much toast and the front left was going as well. Good thing new shocks were included in the drop kit.

heres a pic, still need to get it aligned.

BEFORE

AFTER

Also what a STUPID STUPID STUPID place for the drivers side rear upper shock mount. What a pain in the A$$ to get it both off and on.

7 hour install including over 45 minutes wrestling the one shock, an at home alignment, oil change, fuel filter change and a few refreshments.

It wasnt that hard to get it out, it was getting it back in that was. The bracket had compressed slightly and when I pulled the old chock out the nut retailer came with it. So every time I pushed the new shock in it move the clip into the wrong spot. Also when trying to bend/beat the bracket back into the correct position the lack of space and location made it pretty difficult. Would have been ALOT easier if I was working on a hoist.

Looks good. Maybe paint the grille black and remove the steps. Won't look as low but I think it would be much cleaner. Definetly remove the roof rack. All free upgrades and if you don't like it you can put it back on.

LIghtening Expo, all good ideas. but the roof rack and steps have to stay, or so I am told by my better half.

I have a Blacked out Grillcraft grill on the way that I am going to try out.

I am also going to paint the lower front valance black as well.

well when i changed my rear shocks i just got my bottle jack under my tow bars and lifted them up all the way, and Valhalla!!
Well that sux you cant take off the running boards but why not the roof racks off?? there so easy to take off and back on if you needed them also hint* you need tint and also a pipes or just cut off the pipe and put a turn down that way you could hide it.

The roof rack gets used on a weekly basis right now plus I have not garage yet at my house so storage is a pain in the but.

Yes I agree, tint is definetly on the to do list as well as exhaust. I am looking for a set of headers right now and when those are on its off to the exhaust shop, probably a super 44 and your correct with a drop down to be hidden.

damn, getting the truck aligned right now. The tech says taht to get the fronts back to within spec the tire will be indanger of hitting the fender. but not by much. Looks like its time to get the fender roller out again.

I have a super 40 on mine dumped after the axle. You will like the sound. Pretty quiet under idle but sounds good when you get on it. I would run a tip though if you don't want cab drone.

NICE! A ptm valance would set it off though.

I agree with removal of the steps and PTM stuff believe me, with the steps off it looks alot cleaner, and pluss there isnt any rust thats hiding underneath them!

But either way it looks great!

I am hoping to have some time to paint the front valance this weekend. More pics to come if I do.
