Eibach Springs Lowering Kit

I was wondering if anybody has ever used this kit or know anybody that's used it.

Eibach Pro Truck Kit - 3597.540
Lowers Vehicle - Front: 1.8 in - Rear: 1.6 in

anyone have any photos of this installed, i was thinking about getting this cut to sit lower

this is the only kit that I can find that fits the 03-06 Expeditions

does anyone know if the 07+ Expedition kits are compatible with the 03-06 because if so I might look into the mcgauphys kit that lowers it 2 inches

Heh, tell me about it. I was considering getting the kit, but then figured 1.6 inches wouldn't make a huge difference in appearance.

i also saw another one that retails for about $600 or $700 and i think i read that it can be adjusted between 3 and 7 inches

One thing I have heard about cutting springs is that doing so increases your spring rate and will make the truck ride rougher. The springs are designed to work the way they are made. I wouldn't suggest cutting them. You may ruin a good set of springs. If you were gonna cut any I'd vut the stockers. Then if you don't like how they ride buy the eibachs and run them.

Have you called the guys at BellTech? They were super friendly when I called them. Very helpful!

i think Eibach is the only company that makes lowering springs for the 03-06 Expeditions

the front shocks are the same between the 03-06 and the 07+ Expy...and you lower these beasts via the shocks usually, not the springs. The shock gets a new lower perch for the spring to sit on inside the Coil-Over

I was looking at the Bilstein shocks and they say you can use

http://www.bilstein.com/cart/index.p...id=1848&zenid=

on a 03-09 Expy.

the rear shocks are the same as well

http://www.bilstein.com/cart/index.p...id=1959&zenid=

now we need to see if the 07+ have the same coil springs as the 03-06 Expy...if so, then you should be able to swap around their stuff in the coil-over department without any issues

if you want to do a cheap lower, just install 4x2 shocks.

That will drop you 1" up front, but I don't know how the rear is raised...lift pucks? if so, then remove that

i basically want to eliminate the gap between the fender and tire, right now i'm running the factory 17s with the stock continentals, when i need new tires i'm planning on shopping around for some OEM 2004-2008 F150 20s

okay i read that KW Suspension coilovers can be used to lower the 03-06 Expeditions 2 Inches all around....

this guy used the Eibach Springs Lowering Kit on his 07 Limited EL not sure if he used the kit i was talking about in my first post

you can definitely notice a difference because the fender and tire gap is almost elminated, there is also the mcgaughys drop springs for 07+ Expys but it can only be used on 2WD

Tylus 06-21-2009 08:36 PM
