June 8th, 2009: Harry called and said maybe pickup Expy on Wednesday, June 10th.
June 10th, 2009: Told Expy would be ready by 5:00 P.M.
  • Arrived at 4:30 P.M.
  • Sat on the lot until 6:00 P.M.
  • Expy finally arrived
  • Performed inspection and found that only the Door Jambs, the underside of Hood, and crimp seam on the Rear Hatch had been painted.
  • All 4 doors had obvious line of paint build-up from the taping
  • All places that were painted had obvious Overspray visiable from 2-3 ft away
  • 1/2 way completed removal of the Industrial Fallout on the Exterior
  • Rear hatch now has missing trim piece that was present on drop-off May 19th.
  • 1/2 ***'ed post work cleaning. I found numerous tools and a roll of tape inside my vehicle
  • 1/4 tank of gas, and 931 miles on the Odometer
  • Interior of Expy was trashed. Dirty, dusty foot marks everywhere.
  • A/C was set to max, rear A/C was on max, both front seats had been adjusted to the "Low Rider" position.
  • Spoke to Candy. Was told Expy spent 2 weeks at shop awaiting Honolulu Ford to get Authorizations done.
  • Candy informed me that a 100% repair of the Damage would require 1 month in the shop
  • I have no proof of this. But I am fairly certain someone spent 2 weeks riding around in my vehicle. It has roughly 70 miles that are unnacounted for. And 1/2 a tank of gas is missing. The Repair Shop is at maximum, 2 miles away from the Dealership.
  • Candy claims she has records from the 921-931 mile point...so where did the 860-921 mileage go?
June 11th, 2009: Filed Complaint against Honolulu Ford with Ford Corp.
June 15th, 2009: Ford Corp Complaint Center called me and assured me they were working on the issue.
  • Visited Navy Legal to explore my options.
  • Virgil called asking if I would accept a Buy-Back.
June 16th, 2009: Visited Dealership to discuss what the next step would be.
Told Buy-Back was no longer an option.
  • Was assigned to Calvin as my Service Writer
  • Talked to Calvin, and he said he would call me in a few days after doing some research
June 18th, 2009: Ford Complaint Center called again. Nothing changed.
June 19th, 2009: Calvin called and we scheduled a drop off for June 22nd.
June 22nd, 2009: Dropped off Expy at 8:30 A.M. Promise date of Friday, June 26th.
June 24th, 2009: Called to check on status of Expy
  • Was informed by Calvin that the shop was having issues
  • Might not be available on Friday, June 26th.
June 26th, 2009: Calvin called and said Expy would be ready on Monday.
  • Visited Dealership and get an Enterprise Rental...a Jeep Laredo
  • Was assured vehicle would be ready on Monday
June 29th, 2009: Called to check status of Expy
  • Was told "I don't know where your vehicle is" by Kevin
  • 2 Hours later, I got a call saying they had found it another Paint Shop
  • Advised the new delivery date is Wednesday, July 1st.
July 1st, 2009: Calvin called at 9:00 A.M.
  • Paint Shop had delivered Expy to Honolulu Ford
  • Calvin had sent Expy back to Paint Shop due to Driver's Door paint being screwed up.
  • Advised that Expy might be ready by Thursday for pickup
  • Called at 5:00 P.M...advised that Expy may not be available until Monday, July 6th.
  • Took Jeep rental back, got a 2009 F-150 Supercrew. Jeep was too small for my family.
July 2nd, 2009: Created the site HonoluluFordSucks.com
July 6th, 2009: Honolulu Ford called and asked about my website.
  • Offered to meet my terms on a 2009 Mustang Bullitt
  • Made me take-down the website as part of the purchase order
  • Informed me that my Expedition wouldn't be available until Wed, July 8th
  • Informed me that my Expy was getting a Full Detail inside and outside
July 7th, 2009: FoMoCo Costomer Complaint department called me
  • Informed me that my Expy should be ready for pickup on Wed July 8th
  • Informed me that one of the decals was back-ordered.
  • Scheduled a follow-up appt. for Fri, July 9th.

That is it to date. Hopeing to get my Expy tomorrow.

Next post will be the pictures

wow. i mean wow. i've been following this thread and hope you get some kind of satisfaction. i'm sure the bullit is awesome and living in hawaii limits where you can buy from, but i hate seeing incompetence rewarded with them getting more of your money. btw- might wanna check out the paint before you sign anything! - stewy

I've posted pictures once. So rather than take up thread space, here is the link to my Photobucket pictures

funny you mention that.

the Gen Manager actually made them Clean & Polish the Bullitt. We then went over the whole thing panel by panel

and guess what? she had 2 messed up areas as well.
but they are specifically addressed in the purchase contract. so we'll see what happens on this vehicle

btw, yes I gave them more money. fair trade in my eyes though. I gave them a Dodge Durango...I got a Limited Edition Mustang....that is pure fun.

Is that a scratch on the front corner of the Stang?

hahaha

one on the drivers door, and a small one on the right rear wheel arch. they're both something that one of those lot repair guys can fix pretty easily I think

Nice ride tylus! Don't under estimate the amount of damage someone can do with a buffer! As a general rule if you can feel a scratch with your fingernail it's not coming out. and look for a light spot where the scratch was (in case they went through the clear)

if that is the case, then so be it.

I have a work order that says it is their problem. They know from my Expy experience that I won't let it just go...I have a inkling that it will not be an issue

I was just too damn optimistic. I thought that Honolulu Ford would finally do the right thing and we could complete this horror story with a Happy Ending.

Not to be I guess:

got it finally at 5:40

not clean, looked like somebody had washed it with a dirty rag...interior has crap on the Leather seats again

gas tank was so low that the Message Center said 0 Miles to Empty. Had to put $30 in the tank just to get it to come off the Empty.

Of course, since it was so late, couldn't get a good look at the paint as the sun was 1/2 way down. Got it home and started looking things over in the driveway with the outside light on.
From just a quick looksie, I found the following problems.

- Front Driver/Passenger door lower trim isn't painted 100%. You can see where they failed to spray the upper edges of both

- They ****ing painted the fender flares to the goddamn fenders...WTF?

- The rear Hatch is flat out missing paint in 2 spots, and the dumb ****ers didn't even get all of the embedded **** that I've been complaining about for 2 ****ing months

I really don't get it. 16 days this last time...38 days in total...and my Expy is 75% fixed, but it's all 1/2 assed work

well got another appt. to drop it off Monday. For a return date of Wednesday

they're going to respray the front moulding and fender flares...again

while they're in there, they are going to replace the Windshield Cowl as it has faded in the sunlight

Manager gave me some crap about the Detail Shop being Union Workers...that is a new one on me. I've never heard of a Detail Shop Union
