xlt 5.4 -> raptor 6.2 upgrade idea?

not sure if anybody else tryed this... i have a 2010 xlt 5.4 crew 6.5 bed, a friend has a 2012 raptor 6.2 crew 5.5 bed. he put on a borla exhaust and wants to sell me the stock exhaust. i can do the fab/welding work. just wanted to no if i would gain anything other than tone.

well if depends, what type does he have, any exhaust can add from 2 to at least 20 HP (Ive only seen one that reached 20 but it was custom

2009+ exhausts are very free-flowing factory. Doubt you will experience any performance change.

You would get to add Custom Raptor Exhaust to your mod list...

I doubt you'd gain anything, not even really tone. Raptors sound good for stock, but still extremely quiet. I'd try to get the exhaust tip and then get a different muffler, but wouldn't be interested in anything else.

Get a borla for yourself. The Raptor exhaust probably isn't going to do much of anything for you.

I'd pass all together. FOrd charges $200 something for just the tips and they don't even look that good and the muffler is bulky and heavy. I'd pass on any oem exhaust for these trucks, the factory muffler is the size of a boat. I looked at a 2012 HD at the dealer and almost died.
