Question Looking for system to increase low end torque

My ride is a 2000 F-150 Supercab 2wd 4.6l speed with 3.55 posi.I currently have a WMS velocity tube and just installed a Superchip.

I tow a 24ft 4500lb travel trailer and would like a system that increaes low end torque and that isn't too loud.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Look at the Gibson Swept-Side.

Improved torque and minimal volume increase.

There are lots of options but that is an easy one. Good luck!

Howie is right

Gibson Sweptside, only way to go to keep/increase low end torque for towing etc.

I'll third that comment.......

I have a 5.0 powered truck with a Gibson side swept. As my output and torque curve are very similar to your 4.6 I didn't want to give up any low end. In my case I have a 4x4 Supercab and 3.31s with an E4OD, so I COULD NOT afford to loose anything down low.

I'm more than happy with the Gibson.

Question Gibson Swept Side

So, you guys with the Gibson Swept-side.....do you like the sound? I'm looking for a mean rumble at idle and accelleration with no loss of low-end and definitely no cabin drone. Any suggestions? IS the Swept-side the best bet? Thanks

Thumbs up Dynomax...

I have had great luck with the Dynomax Super Turbo, Dual Outlet, on my '95 F-150 XL, Long Bed, 4.9 L I-6, w/ a 5 spd trans...

A low rumble, but not loud at all in the cab. I purchased my system from Jeg's.
They currently stock a Single and Dual outlet system, for $230 and $240. Good Luck, on whatever you choose.

Dynomax has a lifetime warranty... I have always had good luck w/ Dynomax and Jeg's...

R1968

ps. Gained low end... No loss at all, towing a 20' utility trailer.

"wowbam"
My Sweptside was a little louder than stock when I installed it, throaty idle etc, now that it has about 15,000 on it is is a little louder, but not obnoxious. Absolutely no drone in the cabin at any speed. When it is driven by, you can tell it is not a stock system, but does not bark and snap etc. Very happy with it, am going to order one for the 2002 Super Duty V-10 that we have on order to replace our 98 EXPY.

Y- Pipe?

Hey, RED 2K SPORT, did you put a Y pipe on it also? I'm curious if I should do that or not.....you know Pros and Cons, etc. Is it a must since I'm doing a Cat Back system anyway. Any input?

Thanks
