K&N CAI Question

I've got a 77 series CAI for my 2004 5.4 Lariat. I already have dual exhaust installed, but I haven't installed the CAI yet because I've read so many stories about the 04-05 not doing very well with one installed. In your opinions, should I just sell my kit and forget about installing it?

You can install it IF you get custom tunes. Otherwise sell it and do the 'gotts mod'

Sell. Wish I would have never got my 57 series. Gotts mod would have saved me 200. I do have programmer to correct, but it has an annoying high pitched whistle at certain rpms.

You can install it if you tune, or sell it and roll with the gotts mod.

It's a diablosport with a canned k&n tune. My truck does good with all the mods and throttle is very responsive, but if I could go back, I would have done gotts mod, and got my grill or something else sooner. It sounds good at wot, but has the high pitched squeal at around 1200-1800. K&n says although not ideal, it is fairly common. I have tried a few things to remedy but no luck. Getting new stereo Monday so then I really won't notice.

Yep. It has both 87 octane and premium with cai options. Check it out.
