what is beter flowmaster or magnaflow or what?
I've had both on my truck...and I have to say, I liked the sound of the Flowmaster better (especially in lower RPMs), but it did drone in the cab quite a bit, so I chose to have a pretty quiet Magnaflow installed. The only place you'll notice a difference in power between the two is on the dyno.
Advantages/Disadvantages of Flowmaster (just some of my opinions) :
A: sound
D: not made of stainless (though they have started to do so)
D: too loud for my tastes
D: wasn't fond of the crackle/pop of the higher-RPM sound.
Advantages/Disadvantages of Magnaflow:
A: still sounds good. IMO, better than the flowmaster at higher RPMs.
D: ^^but overall not as good as the flowmaster I had in place before.
A: stainless steel. Still looks shiny and newish
A: no cab drone
D: possibly a little too quiet for my tastes...but high-flow cats might fix that problem
...Hope this helps. Note that my Flowmaster was an Original 40 series si/do setup, whereas my Magnaflow is a 3" si/so catback system.

Magnaflow
I put the SIDO Magnaflow system on my 2010 lariat and it sounds great, but might not be as deep as others. I've been thinking about switching to a true dual setup with Flo-Pro x muffler like on the Kinney's video. I talked with Kirk down there and he said that it's the best setup he's ever done on a f150. I may end up selling my Magnaflow bolt on to someone here if interested.
if you want both magnaflow is a great choice. sounds great and preforms well. i've had flowmaster super 44, magnaflows and banks. hands down magnaflow is the best overall. flowmasters have way to much crackling. I love my banks though real aggressive when getting on it and no drone.
Magnaflow is amazing sound with performance, just hit the "Order Now" button.
The flowmaster super44 I had on my truck sounded incredible above 3k rpms...which my truck spends .05% of the time in that range. At lower RPM and idle, the Borla made Roush Offroad muffler sounds far superior. Very unique, deep tone without the resonance in the cab. I do wish it was louder though, having 4 cats sucks.

18" Magnaflow. Mo shiney den da Flo an dey sound mo gooda! Had both a dem.
