Magnaflow 94106 questions.....
I think I'll try these clamps out: http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/30852/10002/-1
They seem like a better alternative to these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-693250/

I think I'm gonna go ahead and order my parts and hopefully it'll be in by Friday. If so I'll do my best to get the "test" pipes installed with some before/after videos. We got a new camcorder for Christmas and I need to put it to use anyways. No promises though since this is the last weekend of hunting season and the temps are supposed to be brutally cold for this area of the country. Hell...... we are even supposed to get about 4" of snow accumulation! The most we ever see is a few flurries once or twice a year.
Thanks for the help guys and rllackey28 those clips do help!
I think I'll go ahead and do the 94106 cats when I get a chance and hopefully it will sound like I want it to. I've heard the clips of the Roush Off-Road with the 94106 cats and although it does sound good it's a bit too "rappy" for me. Like I said hopefully this'll do it...... I'm tired of spending money on exhaust!
Darren...... how do you think the 14" body with 94106 cats will sound compared to your setup? Deeper, louder, etc.? Most guys around here seem to be running Flow 40's or straight pipe. I want my truck to be fairly loud, not have too much drone, and keep the deep tone. I think the problem is that my wife's GT has Borla Stingers and they sound incredible -- much better than my truck!

And Stingers on GTs the sound cannot be beat, what an amazing sound. The only thing better is an Eaton supercharger whining with the sound.
Man, I think there is a video here somewhere with a guy that has 14" and no cats, but I'm not sure where it is. As for the clamps, I much prefer welds if you can get it done. If not, Darren has clamps on his, he'll probably have some advise on that subject once he sees this thread.
And heres a 14"ers with no cats, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rwq_juINZg. Cruddy video, and turn downs though..

Probably a shy bit less of how mine is, even less with a single muffler. Compared to mine I would suggest 70% as loud inside. Yours must be around 45 to 50% as is.
One last question......
What kind of warranty am I going to be voiding? I know that my entire exhaust warranty will be out the window but how about the engine warranty? Every place I have called has tried to tell me that my entire engine warranty will be voided as well. Any truth to this?
I've ordered the cats but I'm still trying to decide on how I want to put them in. I know I want to get some of the "fast fit" pipes with the O2 sensor already installed so that I don't have to worry about leaks and I know that I'll have to order the O2 sensor extensions for my truck (sensor harness is maxed out where it is now and it'll have to move back a bit). The high-flow cats will slip over the factory pipes, the O2 sensor pipes will slip inside the high-flow cats, and then there will be a butt joint where the O2 sensor pipes connect to the factory pipes. I can't decide if I want to put u-clamps on the front and band clamps on the rear or if I want to just have it welded in. I can get it welded for $35 as long as I bring all the parts.

The BBK 1676 O2 sensor extensions are the right ones, correct? I think I'm going to get them welded and just forget it. My 3" mid-pipe reduces down to 2 1/2" at the factory y so while I'm there I'll get them to cut the factory y out to 3" and put in a piece of 3" pipe all the way to the muffler. That should kill the factory bottleneck and help the exhaust flow even better.
I'm gonna get them welded in and I'll be at $164.64 installed for the 94106 converters. Sound like a good deal?
The bad thing is that I'm fixing to head out of town for work so it'll be a couple weeks before I get them in.
