I wasn't able to get them installed yesterday due to work but I have a question about it anyways..... I was quoted $70 to install them and when I called back he said that pice included HIM keeping my stock converters. Does that seem right? How much can I get if I were to scrap them? I called another guy this morning that I know does excellent work and he said that he'll do it for $140 and I can keep my converters or he'll keep them -- it doesn't matter to him. That's quite a bit higher but assuming that I can get $50 for both of my converters (which I've heard of) it's not that much higher.
I guess what I'm asking is this........ when you had your converters replaced did you keep the old one or did the exhaust shop keep them?

Yeah I'd go with the $70 guy...not meaning to thread-jack, but I've always wondered this:
Why are stock cats so valuable? I mean you almost get what you spend on maggie high flows

Seventy dollar guy and giving him the cats for sure. Scrap value is low so you are best off letting him discount you on the work. Cat installation usually varies $120 - $160 with you providing the cats.
Yep, and rhodium, and the super thick stainless steel they are made of weighing damn near as much as iron adds good scrap pounds.
