when i did my conversion with the whole kit, i did feel a slight power diff. now as far as gas mileage, i didnt see am improvement at all. i believe if you get a custom tune , it will help alot.

I have a 98 f150 with a k&n intake system. It sounds great and i actually did get a little over a mile a gallon better. I also have a 02 f150 with an aem brute force. It does not sound as good as the k&n and but i think i noticed a little more of a power difference from the k&n. This could all be the difference in the trucks though. Hope this helps.

I have the drop in, and I saw about 1 mpg increase. A coworker of mine had the K&N FIPK and he did get a slight MPG increase. Problem is the throttle response is a lot more fun when you remove the restrictive OEM air box. This has the unfortunate side effect of making you WANT to drop your right foot into it harder, which kind of cancels out the gas mileage savings...

If you can drive rationally, you should be able to see some MPG improvements though...

Are you not talking about the replacement filter? I'd like to know where you get the intake for $60???
