Roush Off-Road or MBRP Dual Rear Side exit

I love the sound of the Roush OR, but I like the fact that MBRP has the dual rear side exit, it has a nice tone as well. I cant really decide so I thought id ask the opinions here. Which one would you all say sounds the best. Ive heard a bunch of audio clips of the Roush, but only found a few of the MBRP so its tough to decide.

I went with the MBRP because of the dual split side exit. Good Luck!

Yeah im just not a huge fan of the dual rear exit, but ive always loved the dual side. Im just afraid it is going to be to quiet. The clips I have heard so far seem to be a little quiet for my liking. Not that I want obnoxious loud, but I like the tone of the Roush OR better so far. Unless the clips I heard were just bad quality.

Anyone have the split rear side exit that has sounds clips?

Thanks Darren. Ona side note, I see you have leveling struts up front. Im looking for a 2in leveling kit as well. I do not do any type of offroading so would I be better to just get spacers or get the struts like you have? I dont want to drop big money as it is simply for looks only and may to help clear a little bigger tire.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I personally have the MBRP and know it sounds excellent in person. From what I can tell from youtube stuff the ROR sounds great too. Very low notes.

I doubt many people have heard these exhausts side by side in person. It's so hard to tell the true sound by a youtube video. I don't care how good of camera you have. Everyone's speakers, sound cards, etc are going to change the sound.

I was one of the few that was able to hear both in person before I made my decision. I was at 4 Wheel Parts here in Austin and two of the techs there have 05's and 06's and one had the MBRP split rear exit and one had the Roush Off Road.

To me the Roush sounded way better. Nothing against the MBRP, because it does sound very good, but once I heard the Roush, it was no contest. They were both on 2 cat systems and the rest of the exhaust was stock aside from the catbacks on both trucks.

I am still waiting on getting my hi-flow cats installed on mine and can't wait to hear how much better it sounds when I do that

My vote though is of course ROR

I checked out the Roush when I bought the MBRP. I just couldn't bring myself to spend the extra 200 to 250 dollars. If money is no object I say Roush!

The spacers would be cheaper, and with mechanical know how, tools, and a jack you could do it yourself. I went with the replacement struts so I didn't have it stacked, and it better balanced the turning and road hugging and less sag. I had 72,000 miles and my stock rear shocks and front struts were toasted. Costed $380 for the Bilstein kit, installed the rear shocks myself, had the dealer do the struts for $184.

ROR is money.....Had mine on for about 2 months or so now and love it. I have the lightning style side exit in front of the tires and it looks great on my FX2.

That is my thoughts. Everything ive heard of about the Roush OR, ive loved! I can deal with the dual straight out the rear exit so long as I can still hear the exhuast pretty good inside the cab. I just think the Roush has a perfect deep rumble, music to my ears.

Im in kind of a bind right now on exactly what to do with the truck. I just picked up a set of Demoda Authority's 24" x 10" last year and mounted them yesterday. They look freakin AWESOME, but the two rear tires are shot. My stock tires 18" fx4's are in need of replacement for the winter. If I keep the rims, there isnt a chance in hell of me getting an exhaust this year. If I sell the rims, I would have enough cash for the Roush off road, a 2" leveling kit and I could put money toward some bigger tires for my stocker rims.

So far im leanin more towards selling the rims and getting the exhaust and leveling kit, but im still quite torn.
