Funtional Ram Air airbox for a 4.6??

So, i just ordered my new Ram Air 2 hood!

I haven't found anything along the lines of an intake box specifically for a a ram air hood other than one for a 5.4.

does anyone know where i can find a box for a 4.6?

if not, then what's the main difference between at 5.4 intake and a 4.6?? could i mod up the intake to work?

If neither of these are an option, what the best intake i can get for my truck? Something that may benefit from me having a ram air hood!

Thanks!

This is the hood:

(P.S.- i know that ram air hoods/intake setups aren't very beneficial, i bought the hood for looks, but having it functional is another cool point as well, imho)

no one knows?

How about this:

can i take a 5.4 intake and use it on a 4.6? ( i know it's a repeat, but i think it's the only option)

Certain "functional" ram air hoods use a cold air intake. The hood should be designed to scoop the air to the CAI.
This is an F-150 hood for your model year:

Use with this intake:

This is how it works:

since your truck has a 2 valve 4.6 you can use a '97-'03 4.6 or 5.4 intake or housing it will work just fine

It would be interesting to see what the difference the air temp is when it goes into the intake manifold, if the air is hotter than stock you won't gain alot The Banks kit I used delivers a cooler air charge than stock, one of the few true cold air intakes, most kits but not all, deliver a hotter air charge

I don't think you can with the edge but it may be apossibility with the gryphon, I'm an SCT guy and don't know much about the edge/gryphon stuff as I don't need the extra guages (I have plenty)

that's the same hood!

do you have a ram air box running with it or is it just the stock intake underneath the hood?
