I have seen and heard from people with stangs that they have no gain from the high flows, even seen dyno sheets. There is not a performance gain from the high flows that would make them a good investment.

Tomorrow of sometime this weekend my rear cats should be coming out, hoping so. I'm almost certain I will not have a CEL problem. But cutting so close to the rear sensors is what scares me. May unplug them but then I dont know if i'm opening the oppertunity for a CEL.

If the truck isn't run without the O2's unplugged you won't have a problem. Just cut carefully. It took my truck over 500 miles to set the CEL, and it doesn't do it as often I would expect, it is wierd, but I have 153,xxx on stock O2's.

Alright thanks. I'm hoping my 65,000 miles is a good advantage to not set a CEL. Since i'm not welding them in there would be an even better one too I hope, no heat damage. The sensors just freak me out, afraid to touch one in fear of it screwing up on me

They are not as easily damaged as you think, and while welding close is high heat, but it isn't sustained. They hold up to high EGT's for hours upon end, they are quite durable.

Yep, we're all ready, just need that sawzall from my buddy's friend, and I may need to buy a blade but thats no problem, free evening. Just gotta take measurements to make my 18" pipes 12" with the flanges able to fit over the existing piping a bit.

let us know how it turns out. hopefully i'll get around to doing this after i finish a few projects i still have going on my truck.. joshmac, did you do your own welding? i like the clamp idea, but it doesn't look like theres quite enough room for one to fit. my dad used to be a welder, but idk how much of a PIA it would be to pull the pipe down so he could weld around the whole thing.

The welding is hard, it takes a very very flexible arm to get around the pipe, there was not enough room on my truck to use clamps, so welding was my only option.

Well guys me and my friend have cut into my trucks cats now. We need to buy better blades for the saw, god this stock pipe is stronger than we thought. So right now I have two big exhaust leaks ( we got cuts infront of the cats, cats are still in ) Will update tomorrow when we expect to have it all done.
