Alright guys so Im now just getting to post on my success at the muffler shop that me and blackedoutv6 went to!

So, well i went in to get my to back cats removed and ended up with no cats!!

Man what a sound!

Well I had a cat back system that was ran through a single glass pack but then I converted it to a straight pipe by NOT cutting out the muffler but by cutting a foot section before the muffler just in case i wanted to run it through my glass pack again.

So now I have no cats through a single glass pack dumped!! I HATE that stupid raspy sound!! I didnt getting when I had all four cats but now I do, so
It sounds pretty darn loud which I like but I duno which muffler I shoud get to give it a real mean sound thats not a bullet or somthing of that size!!

Sorry but the no cats sound on a modular in the trucks sounds like ***** IMO, you should have gone with just the pre-cats, but oh well. If I were you I would get at least a 18" maggie, no smaller.

Yea its not too bad right now! Im probably gonna throw some high flows on now and run true duals, but before then I gotta stick with this setup which doesnt bother me.

So If I add high flows to my truck how much will the high flows decrease on my sound level as compared with no cats.

But before the high flows Im running true dual with some kind of H-pipe and some type of muffler which I have no clue what to run!

I just cant stand that dang raspy noise!!! Ugh I love my loud exhaust minus raspy!!

Oh btw drove around my neighbor with open headers!!!
I barely was able to step on the gas because of how inensly loud it sounded!

lol dang, open headers huh? lol. The hi-flows will calm it down just mildly, it will be noticeable but after awhile they will ware in too as their mufflers do, just a hell of alot quicker because the heat hits the cats fast. It will give it a much better tone, not raspy sounding. Still get the no muffler popping though.

Yesterday, I forgot to mention that I went to Advanced Auto and picked up a "Dynomax Welded" Muffler its called aka knock flow 40 for half the price.

I cut off my glass pack and clamped the new muffler on so actually now it sounds good but this is just temporary!

I wish I had the proper saw so I could do it, instead of seeing the pipes on the floor here... Anxious to get my added sound! No shops wanna do what I want, so i'm screwed unless I do it myself. Gonna make a good detailed thread whenever im able to though.

Mine seems to get about the same after the "big cats" came off, but I can't keep my foot out of it, and I have never had as many people come up and tell me how much they love the way it sounds.
