If this is the case, and you used the short intermediate pipe, wouldn't this fit and work fine on mine as well? Sorry, I just got lost at the point where it seems as tho we have the same model, yet you were suggesting that I use the longer pipe. Can you just clear this up for me? Thanks again man, I really appreciate you help.

So the pipe between the Y pipe and muffler would be longer.. that is my logic. Because it wasn't supposed to fit, I took it to a muffler shop the same day I got the kit. They fiddled with it a lot more than they needed to and cut a hanger off the driver side tail pipe only to re weld it back to the stock location. They put about a 2 inch extension onto the muffler outlets that probably didn't need to be there. They did need to change the tail pipe mount on the passenger side. It is all about the install. there are a lot of ways to tweak the system to make it fit with few or no mods. I am comfortable enough to say that Magnaflow should advertise this kit to fit the screw 6.5 bed. Oh, and they used the short intermediate pipe on mine also.. go figure.
Well, now that I know that it fits, I need to make my final decision as to whether to go w/this Magnaflow setup or go with the Roush offroad system for which I have heard nothing but praise and good things about...any thoughts??? :o

Super crew(many times referred to as extended cab) is truck with two full doors and then the little half doors that open backwards-and only open when front door is open-same set up as yours right?
Crew cab(sometimes called king cab) is truck with 4 full independant doors-like a car
the longer doors on a crew cab make the cab of the truck about 2'(or maybe 1' im not sure) longer than a super crew-thus you have two options for the the truck-crew cab with 5.5' bed or you can get crew cab with 6.5' bed
Now here is where all our confusion started
a crew cab with a 6.5' bed would be longer than our supercrew with 6.5' bed, therefore needing a longer intermidiate pipe for an exhaust system

Naw, I'm just playing...but no, I'm actually being serious (no, not really, LOL!!). The information that I'm about to present is directly from the Ford actual "Build Your Own Vehicle" wesite link. http://www88.forddirect.fordvehicles...eferringSite=1
For the current model Ford F-150's, there are only 3 Cab sizes, and they are;
1. Regular Cab- Exclusive 4-door regular cab w/2 full sized forward hinged doors & 2 rear access doors. One row of seats comfortably seats up to 3 passengers with room behind the seats for gear and storage.
2. SuperCab- A truck cab style with two main forward hinged doors and two "half doors" which lead to two rows of seats.
3. SuperCrew- A truck cab style with a large passenger compartment and 4 foward hinged full sized doors which lead to two full rows of seating. The doors are mounted so that they swing open the same way as most four door cars do. Comfortable seating for a total of six passengers.
Now as I said, that is directly from the Ford website. Anything with the name "crew" in it is going to be a 4-door vehicle like under definition number 3 above whether it be called a crewcab, supercrew or KingCrew...they are all the same. I believe that some more confusion may come into play b/c once you get past the 150 line, the names change. For the F250's and above, the models are called "Regular Cab", "Super Cab" and "Crew Cab", but they all have the same exact definitions as above even tho for definition number 3 the name changed from "SuperCrew" to "Crew Cab" for the Heavy Duty Series Trucks.
Now, unless Ford changed the name of the models (which they very well could have done), it doesn't sound like you (M50B) have a "crew" (a SuperCrew or a Crew Cab, since they are the same thing) and it sounds like you have the "Super Cab". I personally have a 4 door truck just as described in definition number 3 above so this means that I have a SuperCrew truck. This info is for current models only and as I said Ford may have changed the name designation which is causing this confusion. I'm not trying to step on your toes, or make it seem like I'm a "know-it-all", I'm just trying to clear up all the confusion surrounding the Ford Truck names.
If that is the pic of your truck in your signature, then by the Ford standard definition, yes you can call it an Extended Cab (or by definition number 2, a SuperCab), but it is not a SuperCrew. Not so silly of a question now is it?!?!

Not to beat a dead horse, just wanted to make sure that everything is as clear as possible, since I believe that Ford is the only manufacturer that uses the moniker, "SuperCrew", and then, only on its F-150 line...as I stated in the above post, they then revert back to the industry standard name of "CrewCab" for the Heavy Duty line even though it is the exact same body make-up as the SuperCrew. (i.e. SuperCrew=CrewCab)
Here is a pic of my vehicle so all can see exactly what it is, as well as the make/model directly from the sticker of my vehicle just to verify that I am matching the correct name of the vehicle w/the appropriate number of doors.(Obviously as you can see from the pic, it has 4 forward hinged full sized doors).

Here is my sticker that I saved showcasing that it is indeed called a SuperCrew.

Alright dude you pretty much hijacked my thread here but I'll still give ya some advice. I dont know what the other guy was trying to tell ya but he is confused about it I think. Your truck is the truck the magnaflow rep was telling you there is NO kit made directly for. My boss has the same truck as you and we have run into the same problem. Save yourself some money, get just a maggie muffler, and have a shop make you what you want. You will have to have a shop make a kit fit anyway.
And PLEASE (not being a **** but still please) next time you want to start a thread, please start your own thread. I started this thread to get help with a problem I have had, and somehow it has turned into like three different things. It sounds like no big deal but causes a problem when people are trying to do direct searches and also gives the original thread started a hard time to get anwsers to things they asked originally (i.e. why they started the specific thread to begin with). And also makes people get of original topics. Thank You. Good luck with your exhaust! And nice truck!

I have a Super Cab 3 door..
Ok now that we have this whole mess straightened out and we all know what the trucks are-it was getting rather interesting
Ill also add that window sticker for my truck must have been miss print for cab then because window sticker says mine is super crew-lol apparently its a little off then
and now that i have quite confusing myself and others, like its been said the 16614 kit is supposed to fit your truck, but many people have said they have had problems putting it on-so like also has been said you may be better off buying a maggie muffler and some tips and have a shop fab up an exhaust for you
New things learned today
1-I apparently dont know what the differant truck cabs are
2-I now know what they are properly named
3-window sticker for my truck was wrong-but price was still right

ok maxout.. I will explain it for you real slowly so you understand... I have a 150 inch wheel base F-150 super crew four full door truck. I have the maggie 16614 kit installed. It fit with very little modification. here is the post read it again. If you have any questions, let me know, I will be happy to answer them for you. I am not the only one here who has the kit on this particular configuration of truck. Ok?

I have the screw 6.5 bed with the 16614 kit on and I love it. I heard the kit wouldn't fit, and figured it was because of the wheelbase length. after all the kit is supposed to fit the scab with the 6.5 bed. and 6.5 is a 6.5 right?
