Cool I Need Loudness!!!

What is the loudest system out there???? Many have said that the series 40 Flowmaster is. I only have the single outlet, but I dont think its loud at all. Is this why? Im looking for a dual out system that will make peoples hair stand up when driving by. Suggestions?????

Look into the Ravins available at Midas. I know that they are relatively loud outside, with little to NO interior drone unlike most FM's.

thanks guys for the suggestions, although i dont think straight pipes are the way to go. before I put my FM on, i ran it open for a couple of days. Sounded great, but took a big hit in low end response. you need some backpressure for scavenging. Does Ravin come as a cat-back kit??? Cant find much info on them. keep em coming!!!

if you watch the size of your pipes, i went with 2 1/4's, you won't lose any low-end...at least, i didn't, Rich.

Check out the following link. I got true dual exhaust with a 18 inch glasspack on each pipe. I got 2 1/4 inch pipe and my truck sounds the same.

If you want loud but not straight pipes, go with glass packs. The shorter the louder. I'd go with 18" based on what you want, but you could go with 12" or even 6". Stay with 2 1/4" pipes.

If you want loudness with performance you have to go with Borla. Its going to cost you but if you have the money that is the way to go.

Ok are you talking about the catback system, single in dual out? I have that on my truck FM 40's and it sounds great. Im like you though I want louder, but I like the sound quality of what I have right now. I know if you dump the pipe at the muffler that will make it a bit louder, some people like having shiny pipes though. just my thoughts

Thanks guys for all your input. I must say that I havent researhed Borla that much, but I guess Ill have to do some more poking around. As of right now, it looks like Im gonna go with the FM dual out kit. Does anyone has this? Im looking for a good healthy sound. Straight pipes are a little too loud, but not much.

BLACKENEDFORD,

Before you make your final decision I would highly recommend you visit your closest Midas dealer and check out the Ravin' Z-33. I have the Z-55 installed and it has a nice smooth rumble, but it you truly want it loud I would recommend the Z-33.

Good luck with whatever you choose...
