Question Daytime Running Lights

Hi Folks,
Im trying to install the Daytime Running Lights on my 2002 F-150.

I installed the relay block in the correct location in the top of the dash under the access panel, but I cannot find the plug for the resistor which is supposed to be located in the wire harness behind the left headlight...

Anyone know where to plug in the DRL Resistor on the 2002?

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Have you tried this link ....... ?
http://www.geocities.com/skyjet1/DRL.html

He has a couple of pictures which helped me on my 2001 ... suspect the 2002 should be the same. Best of luck.

Yep, I sure did, thanks.

I have spent ALOT of time looking for this dumb plug and even went to the local ford shop looking at the computer... All we found on the computer at Ford was the location where it is mounted on the lightning, which is on the same bracket that holds the water pump and radiator for the intercooler.

This is driving me nuts! I know it must be there because the relay harness was there

Someone Pleeez help me!!

Im going crazy!!

I have removed the radiator overfill jug and that plastic cover on top of the radiator and traced the entire harness that is supposed to have the plug for the DRL Resistor. -It is simply not there on my 2002 F150.

ANYONE with a 02 who can tell me where to put this darn resistor would be my hero and save me what hair I have left!!

Should be located between the drivers (left) headlamp and the radiator. Real close to the headlight housing. It will be in the same harness as the turning signal and headlamp circuits.

I spent hours looking for that on my 2002 as well. Traced the entire harness and never found it.
Looked at my friends 2001 and it was right where they say! Guess its different now.

The plug with the 'jumper' under the dash cover is there for the DRL module, but no place for the resistor that I can find under the truck.

I added autolamps with no problem and was going to do DRL too.

So either we both need new glasses or somethings changed we don't know about.

My 2003 has it exactly where the website that FedExPilot supplied said it was. Can't imagine that the 2002 is different from the 2001 and 2003.

It's easier to see from underneath.

FoR SALE

OK, nevermind the info. On autolamps, I did a search and ordered the parts.

Now I have the two parts that you use for DRL if anyone wants to buy them from me, they are brand new, make an offer!

Just an off the wall idea... on the 02, did you try just installing the relay block? Maybe they already put the resistor in somewhere????

I have no idea and havn't looked at my truck for this yet.
