2005 F150 4x4 LED Change out

Recently I changed out all my bulbs to LED's. This included the marker lights, tail, break, turn, tag, cargo, high break, map, dome and dash cluster. Basically every bulb except the headlights. It looks great and now have all the problems workded out. After changing theses bulbs my cruise control would no longer work. I went back to the LED manufacture and purchased load resister and mounted them behind each tail light and wired them in per the instructions...problem solved. I used the cool white LEDs in my interior, cargo and tag lights. They have a slight steal blue look to them even though they are actualy white. I get alot of people asking about them. I have seen several question on here about the LCD display and changing he bulb, you can use an LED, it works fine and they do still dim. The website I purchased all I my items from is www.superbrightleds.com and there customer service is outstanding. If you dont happen to see the LED you need to replace your bulb call them. They do update there website often and if they are out of stock they may remove it from the website, so you may have to check back often.

Farmboy, I can't tell from your post if you tried the taillights with the special "flasher" unit the SuberBrightLEDs also sells - without the load resisters. Did you? I am just wondering if that also fools the cruise control into thinking there are functioning brakelights installed.

Yes I did put the heavy duty flasher in but it did not do the trick. It worked in my wifes Toyota but not in my Ford. I left the heavy duty flasher in place and added the load resistor, on each tail light. I installed them behind the tail lights, attaching them to the inside of the tail light pocket so they would not swing around our touch anything if they get hot.

I did all of my lights w/ LEDs as well. I purchased a new flasher from *somewhere* I googled for about $25 that took care of the fast blinking problem. Easier than putting resistors on each of the taillights.

Does your cruise control work properly though?

Right! That's the question I was asking.

Now the heavy duty flasher will take care of the quick flash. The resistors are for the problem you may have with the cruise control not working. As far as the bulbs I changed out, all exterior, less headlights, the dash cluster bulbs (indicator and back lights) and the dome/map lights.

Yeah I was thinking about changing the instrument cluster in my 2005 F150 to blue, but I was not quite sure of the type of bulb i needed to do this and I was wondering if it was a hard process of replacing all those lights?
