Exclamation ever felt like a a**?

Hello all has any of you ever felt like ***? i bought a set of taillights for my
99 f-150 thought hmm easy to put in tailights, it is easy if you know what you are looking for. when i removed the tailight i disconnected the wire harness thinking just plug em in right? wrong, wont fit, cant put a square plug in a round hole, so i return to the place where i bought them and felt like i was 1 1/2 inches tall when the fellow tells me no no these just plug into where the BULB would go not the harness. this is just for info when you are replacing your taillights

That's a pretty funny story, but if it makes you feel any better, I'm constantly amazed at how stupid I can be.

Are you trying to say you bought new bulbs or LED bulbs or what?

he bought new tail lights, unplugged the old ones, and tried to plug the square connector into the round hole where the bulb should be screwed into on the new housings, then returned them.

Thats funny stuff, we've all been there!
I once let the smoke out of a PCB while training some folks how to troubleshoot "the right way"! I felt like that DEA agent that shot himself in front of that class room:o!

I took the heating element out of my water heater before I drained it. 50 gallons of water looks a whole lot different when its on the garage floor.

I "fixed" a camera once. I had to send it in to Canon to fix my "fix". (That's just one of my many brilliant bits of work - I've had MANY others!) :o

But, I keep trying!

I once tore a motorcycle into dozens of peices over 3 nights to figure out why it was losing power above 30 MPH. I even drove 20 miles to a dealer and dumped some of the suspect parts on their counter for their opinion.

A shop rag that I had decided to store under the seat on top of the tool kit was blocking off the air intake.

Those are some funny stories. Everyone’s got a couple stories like that at least you could look back and laugh about it.
