reason for pulling...tryin gto move the bed back about 18 inches or so so I can reach the fuel pumps...I cant drop the tank...its full...Is there an easier way to unplug the harness from the light? when i got under there I saw a little hole where the wire goes in but I cant get my hand up there to pull the connector off...

Dumb question, did you read the procedure on page 204 in your owners manual ?

If you don't have an owners manual, you can download one here :
https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp
or here :
http://www.genuineservice.com
or here :
http://www.motorcraftservice.com

It shows the bolt locations, and the direction to toe the lense out ( as described above ) to remove the lense.

Yah you should be pulling towards the rear of the truck. Also might snake a finger into the back side somewhere, and try and push and pull at same time.
