Help! can any body by pass the pats or anti-theft ?

I've installed a car alarm w/ autostart features to a ford f150 & ford expedition ( eddie bauer series )w/ anti-theft & pats transponder system. The problem is everytime i try to engage the autostart features, the car start for a while but still it's stop because of the pats or the transponder module it needs the key to be inserted to the key cylinder so it could start ! My question is can any body knows how to by pass that transponder interruption w/o using the key and try to start the vehicle using the installed car alarm w/ autostart features, pls. i need an expert advice and i know i coultd find it hear.

thanks a lot

Sure.......

It starts and runs for a while, then stops, huh.

And you want to know how to bypass the sytem that prevents it from starting?

Try again.

I know that when i got my autostart installed they had to take the microchip out of one of my keys in order to get it to stay started.

I dont know what they connected it to and im nt sure if it helps at all but i hope you get it all figured out

Ok does it start with the remote and after 10 min it shuts off, then you have to put the key in too drive it ? It maybe its timing out, they are setup to run about 10 to 15 min then turn off.Lay your spare key next to the ign switch when you start it and see what that does for it.I'm sure other's here will have some imformation for you how to fix this.

Since the engine starts and runs, you do not have any sort of PATS issue with the remote start.

You need to properly configure the remote system. It is timing out. Consult the owner's/installation manual or take to to the installer if someone else did the installation.

Its not a PATS issue. It wouldn't start at all if it was. You're either getting a bad tach signal and its dying, or it is simply timing out as the others said. How long does it run? ANd most remote starters have a diagnostic mode that will flash the lights a certain number of times and tell you what the issue is. Check your manual

w/o the key on the cylinder

Right guys there is no longer PATS ISSUE here, but still what seems to be the problem? because upon testing & exact programming procedure,I manage to start the car engine in a complete cycle and exact timing & manage again to stop the engine from running using the installed car alarm w/ autostart features using the remote start button. meaning to say guys that the autostart works exactly as i want, but it works because the key is in the key cylinder thats why it goes right but w/o the key on it! it is totally sucks it will stop. so how can i possibly start the engine using remote start w/o the presence of the key on the cylinder.

It is a (CODE ALARM "CA 640") model w/ AUTOSTART,TURBO TIMER FEATURES. , I've installed it to a FORD EXPEDITION ( EDDIE BAUER SERIES )
everything is ok except the autostart function it will only work if the key is inserted to the cylinder. I've already installed thesame alarm model to a FORD EXPEDITION (XLT MODEL ) w/o transponder system & it wokrs w/o any key on the cylinder, could you possibly help me configuring by passing the starting interruption occur when autostart is on engage mode.

Right now i'm dealing w/ the transponder system i've already checked the key cylinder & try to put a jumper wire to the key slot switch but still no progress, pls. i need u'r experty on this

thanks.

you haven't stated a year on the expedition so I'm guessing it's an older one. I suggest a PKF1 bypass. It will tie into your pats wiring and only reqires one key to program.

If it's a 2003 or newer then you will need the PKF3. It requires 2 keys to program.

there is not a programming to bypass your PATS system. You need a transponder interface to be able to start your truck. The PKF1 and PKF3 are transponder bypass pieces.
