Horn sounds like a pansy

Does anyone elses horn sound like a pansy? Mine sounds like it should go on a GEO Metro. And are there any other options that I have? Its kind of embarrasing to have this bad *** trucks, and when you hit the horn people smirk.

Horn

You have a high pitch and low pitch horn. I suspect the low pitch quit working.

Really,
I did not know that. Can anyone tell me how hard it is to replace the low pitch one and where the heck it is?

Thank you for your reply.

I'm not sure what truck you have, but the horns should be behind the radiator grill some where. On my 99 its behind the bumper in front of the passenger side wheel. Lay on the floor and look up. there should be a wire on one horn and looping to the other. There is 1 bolt holding both on. Make sure the wire didn't pull off the horn.

Mine sounded that way too. I bought some electric trumper horns from pep boys, and they sucked too. I bought some PIAA Electric Horns, that go in the stock location, and it is MUCH improved. Very little wiring involved too. nice upgrade .

Mine did the same thing (after going through mud hole), if you have an air compressor, put the blow nozzle on and blow into horn. Mine were full of water and the Low Pitch side would not work. Just my experience.

Yeah my horn also sounded like a 5-year old boy after going through a couple of mud pits, Just cleaned it out and it was back to normal.

My horn used to work fine, but recently it started sounding like the 'pansy' horn. I was looking for suggestions to replace it, but I'll try and clean it first, since I've managed to find one or two pf those mudholes
