midwestoffroad, my tires chirped shifting into 2nd when I gunned it, and then in reverse when I gave it a little too much . I don't think I can roast 'em from a stop though. I haven't changed any settings on the 87 perf tune yet. My tires are only slightly larger than stock (they're right at 33"). I'll check and see how far the RPMs go up when I go WOT from a stop and let you know. I didn't have the Edge to compare to though, so going from stock to the XCAL3 was a huge improvement.

Sounds like you might of got a turd. It can happen. What motor do you have? What tires?

I'd say about 2-3 minutes.

I also placed my order for VMP custom tune 87 performance, on 08/01/09.
Can't wait to fill better shifts for passing!

89 octane to 93 octane would be a HUGE difference. 91 to 93 octane is 4* timing which from what troyer told me on my truck. Said each degree of timing is good for around 10hp or so.

Run some 93 octane and light up the tires I assume. I never ran my truck with anything less then supercharged. It was stock for about a week.

i didnt notice a HUGE improvement between 89 and 93, the shifting alone is nice though. everyone that gets better results from tuners are the 04 and up guys with their 3v trucks

That's interesting. I gunned it from a stop at a couple green lights earlier this week and the tires chirped everytime. It went right up to about 5,300 rpms before shifting to 2nd. I didn't change anything on the 87 perf tune after I loaded it. I would think you could leave some rubber on the road. Maybe Justin can adjust your tune. I did the DWV intake mod so I'm getting a little more air than stock and I have a K&N drop in. I would think you would feel it more with the stock tires.

Just installed VMP 87 performance tune, I spin my stock 20" tires at every stop. I can tell that theres alot more power! Does any body know how high can I adjust my shift firmness with out damging trans? I want the most firmness with out daming my trans. I love the power when I floor the pedal.

I think my 3.73 gears help out to spin my 20" stock tires.

I think you have a big problem. My truck was so slow, but now it's just spins the tire 275/55/20" stock tires. I just raced a V6 Mustang and took him out!
All I have is the X3 VMP tune Gibson Sport Truck Exhuast. I plan on adding high flow cats & S&B intake. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I agree with LincolnMarkLT20, something must be wrong. I have the 3.73's, and if I gun it around a corner the tires don't stop burning until I let off. I wonder if you can plug the XCAL3 in and do some data logging. I haven't done it, but I've heard it mentioned around the forum. You should easily be roasting the tires around a corner. Have you talked to Starkey?

I am going to send Justin a email. it been raining the last day and half still have to really work at it to spin the tires over... it will come on once i hit 50 but takes forever to get there.. it was working better with the evo tow tune. so something in the tune must need to be tweaked.
