EDGE... what level r u on???

just curious to see what level everyone is running their edge on? i just got mine 3 days ago and love it! i can tell a huge difference in level 2 and level 3. also, i know the edge is programmed for a stock intake,(thanks, bluejay) am i risking any engine damage if i get a cold air intake before i get the chance to get custom tunes for it? i have an 08 f150, just wanting to be safe. i'm not too familiar with the running lean issues. hope everyone enjoys their edge!!

I started out running mine on level 2 using the 87 octane gas. I recently started using level 3 with 93 octane Shell and it runs even better. I'm quite satisfied with just the K&N drop in and the SI/DO exhaust and truck still get's 16-18 mpg hwy with the 35's. So I'm satisfied for now. Custom tunes are planned for later.

I run Level 2 when I tow and Level 3 for daily driving...I only run 91 octane gas and when I'm on Level 2 I bump the ignition timing 2 pionts for the higher octane gas!

I currently on Level 2 but considering going to Level 3...My question is, since I have a SI/SO flowmaster exhaust, should I put a cold air intake before I jump to level 3?? I currently have a stock filter..It seems like when I put that exhaust on, it dropped my gas mileage but the edge has bumped it back up..What are yalls thoughts, thanks, Rick

Mines a PHP Gryphon but its only providing me the canned Edge tunes for now. Using level 3 with 93 octane, adjusted rpms and 1.5 timing. Its a Chevy and Hemi eater My friends were indeed impressed.

You could be, and the problem is, you can't really tell without testing using something like a wideband O2 sensor. But, 2008's don't have the reputation of coming in a near-lean condition from the factory like the earlier models do, so it's a bit hard to know.

Personally, I'd convert the Edge to a Gryphon, get custom tunes and be happy! Custom tunes WILL outperform your canned Edge tunes and you'll have peace of mind knowing you're not running lean.

Taking of the speed limiter is the option that says Max Speed. You just program whatever you want as a maximum speed. I used 110.

I ran Level 3 all the time when I used the canned tunes. I agree with Jack's staement as to the safty of running lean on a 2008, but i would also add, why take the risk. You are getting the horse before the cart. A CAI does very little for you without custom tunes, so why mess with it till you have a custom tune?

Not me, didn't cost me anything extra to run level 3. I got about 11% better mileage out of level 3 for 31,000 miles, so that paid the difference in cost. Now I have the 87 perf tune taht runs like level 3 and I am doing it on the price of 87.

I switch back and forth from level 2 to level 3. Just depends on my mood and where I figure my next tank of gas will mostly be driven.
I just switched back to level 3 last night. I also play with different brands of gas. Sometimes I run Sunoco 94 and make the appropriate adjustments (+3 timing), and other times I'll run V-Power from Shell. I put the zero ethanol V-Power in last night and left the timing at zero.
My last 2-3 tanks were run on level 2.
