i just bought the edge evo yesterday. im running my Edge on lvl 2. since i have a CAI i heard that my truck will runs lean. i also heard that running on lvl 2 will help the lean issue a bit. im planning on changing my CAI back to stock. now i just need to find a stock intake for my truck.

You have a 2V engine, so you are probably safe on the lean issue. However, the CAI will not show much power increase without a custon tune.

That's hard to say because my mileage varies so much, plus I'm still in the hot rod mode because the truck is so responsive now. I think it will be a while before I notice any increase. I do notice a difference, and appreciate the way it drives. I run 13 - 16.5.

You should be fine on level 3. just listen for pinging the first time or two you get on it. If it pings, back off.

Edge Setting

Level 3!

I returned to stock about a month ago to get some work done at the dealership. It is a slow world without the Edge! I forgot how far you have to push the pedal to get going.

I only run level 2 if I am towing. I do bump the timing +.5, (and run the highest octane available, in hopes of avoiding running lean.) with this setting. When using this setting, my truck's pedal isn't quite as touchy and I feel like I have a wider power range increase.

I haven't had any lean issues to date with my mods. I don't know if it helps, but when in level 3, I run the highest available (usually 93) octane and let the timing alone.

Just last week, I gave a guy in a new Acura RDX a nice run on level 3. He looked so confused when I blew him off the line. He ended up catching me at around 60 mph, high revving with his turbo screaming, but he gave me that, "Ohh, crap! What the hell does he have in there" priceless look!

Man, I love my Edge!
