Anyone hear from VMP recently?

I was wondering if anyone has heard from VMP recently? I ordered a custom tuned XCal 3 on 10/3. I received it on 10/28. I flashed my PCM and the truck did not start so I sent Justin the strategy code like his instructions said on 10/28. The website says to give 72 hours and then leave another message if you don't hear back. I left a voice mail on 10/31. I did not hear anything back this week so I left another email and voice mail. I realize that Justin is busy but I would at least appreciate a response by now acknowledging my problem even if that response is just saying that he will look at it in a week or so. Maybe they are just not getting my messages? Anyone know the status down there? Thanks!

Pat

Hopefully, things are ok with him. I doubt he's abandoned all of you. Everything I've seen on these forums tells me he would not do that.

I just ordered an xcal3 and custom tunes recently, they should be here by next weekend. I have been communicating with them on a daily basis. I think email is the best method. Justin@VMPTuning.com

I have emailed back and forth with Justin for the last few days at least once a day. I use the email that he sends me and just reply to it.

I too was frustrated when I had ordered mine but there were a few things that I forgot. They are only in the shop like 4 days a week, they hold events that probably take away from tuning time, and they tune in shop on the dyno as well.

Hang in there, send him an email reply from what he has sent you so it doesn't get caught in the spam filter. He is not ignoring you.

I just sent him a message today about a new order using the email address in an earlier post. I hope he is checking his junk folder, because that is not a good excuse for not replying in a timely fashion...

I prefer to do all of my purchasing on line, so if I can order tunes for my truck and receive them via email without having to send faxes and call, he will have a new customer.

My previous emails were replies to my order confirmation. Maybe they are getting caught up with spam or something so I will reply with another one tomorrow. I am confident that it will be straightened out and that there has just been some miscommunication in the past couple weeks. Thanks for the encouragement. I am getting anxious to try the new VMP tunes!

It took a couple of weeks before I heard back from him when first ordered. I tried calling twice, but email always worked once he responded. If you made your purchase he will get back to you. I think they just get dealt with in a time order that's all

I've emailed with him 3 times in the last few days. He's there, probably busy. I just ordered my tuner with tunes this morning after getting my final email from him.

I finally got in contact with Justin yesterday and today through email. He sent me revised tunes and straightened things out. Now I just need to get used to driving the truck with the new tunes! I noticed a shifting difference and I definitely noticed a difference with the torque converter. I'm not sure if I like it better than stock yet but I am sure I will after I get used to it. I did not experience the "neck snapping" shifts I hear about but I have not had it WOT with the tunes yet. I know Justin is a busy guy and I am happy he finally got to my messages and problem. Now I just need to get used to the new VMP tunes!

customer service has dropped severely in the last month or two.....ive been trying to get him to look at a data log for well over a month after 3 emails i called and left a message and no response to any, then sent a new email (not a reply to our previous messages) then he finally responded to that email about 2 weeks ago saying he would look at it but no response since

o and the reason for asking him to look at my tune was a severe drop in power at high rpms to where even wot it would slow down, and threw a code when it did that..........needless to say i swapped out my vmp tune for my previous bama tune

Well you need it at WOT my friend

You should also be able to adjust the shift firmness depending on you device. I adjusted mine and it is almost impossible for me to keep my foot out of the pedal.

Yeah he is a bit bogged down, but you could go ahead and wait until easter and call troyer.

JK. I know mike does great work. Justin's work load is just exploding so his times are increasing exponentially.

Email seems to be the best way to contact him right now. I have sent him two messages and he replied within a day both times. I am a new customer, so now I am just waiting on my tunes.

I emailed him and asked him to readjust my tunes because I didn't like the feel of the TQ. He responded and asked about my tire size and gear ratio and I responded immediately, that was a month ago and nothing yet. I didn't follow up though until this morning so we'll see how long it takes to hear back, but usually he's pretty good about responding.

Guess now people are seeing why Troyer's wait times are long. The more popular your product is and the more people you have standing in line wanting it the longer you're going to have to wait to get it.
