I agree, mike called me when I simply emailed him a question. We talked for almost an hour about my truck. I email Justin from time to time about random questions (I really dont like doing so as Im sure hes busy) but I will personally use him for my tuning. Main reason being Im impatient and when I do my data log tuning I want here and now!

Also, I hope by using Justin at VMP thumper will become my best online friend

I have had conversations with Mike in the past and the first thing you realize is he has such great knowledge and passion for what he does. No offense to any other Tuner out there but MIKE TROYER is the MICHAEL JORDAN of performance tuning. I never wonder WHAT IF?
I used to believe this but I've had both Troyers & VMP's tunes and I prefer VMP. Where Troyer used to be dunkin from the free throw line now he's only making 3/10 layups.

I agree. I've called over there and he makes himself available.

Yeah, that guy sure tends to talk a lot. But at least what he has to say is worth listening to.

Maybe his tunes take longer because he can't seem to get off the phone. He's too busy fielding calls to write all the tune orders?

It doesn't really matter. He writes a great tune. I'm happy with mine. I don't see what all the "instant gratification" fuss is all about. Put in your order, wait, then enjoy when it arrives.

Cool

HI!... What people don't realize is that MIKE does more chips/programs that anyone else out there. Disagree all you want. Your wrong. It's that simple. MIKE is the "ONLY" one that tunes at TROYER performance. Plus he has a full dyno shop and does a ton of experimental tuning for large companies like KENNE BELL, ROUSH ETC. He has a full plate everyday. The man works like 12-14 hours a day 7 days a weeks at his business. That's what I call dedication. TROYER PERFORMANCE has tripled in volume in the last 2 years, mostly due to sites like this and word of mouth. I have no problem waiting for his tunes. I've known MIKE for 10 years now, and I can tell you right now that NO ONE else will tune my vehicles while MIKE's still around and doing tuning.

So I take it you like the VMP better? Just curious, still trying to make my decision also.

While I'm not going to disagree with you at all because you are right about the factual stuff. The opinionated stuff is well opinionated. However, Justin is the only one who does the tuning at VMP Tuning. Justin has done a lot of testing for major companies, too. Whipple, Saleen, etc to name a few. Anyone like Justin, Bill, Mike, Doug, etc all put in long hours. It's no different .. As far as writing more tunes. I wouldn't exactly say that. Justin, Mike, and a few others have been in the number one spot for SCT sales, back and forth, for the past years. SCT no longer releases this information to any of it's vendors though.

Who flippin cares? They are all good. If you are seriously stressed over this decision, put each name in a jar and randomly pick one. You'll be happy with any of them. DONE END OF THREAD.
