I ordered my XCal3 on Saturday (May 17), I received the tuner yesterday (May 22), I emailed Justin my strategy, I received my 3 custom tunes sometime late last night. Less than a week. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get my tunes to the tuner.

Ok, I have been doing a little reading on this thread finaly and Justins tunes do seem to be the real deal. I already have an Xcal 3 with TP tunes on it but I kinda want to give these a shot.... So I can order a tune or 2 from Justin, throw it on my computer and load them onto my Xcal3?

Also, how much are his tunes again?

Thanks for any help...

$50 per tune until June 1st, then they are $59 according to his website.

Did you figure out how to get them on the device? Just go onto SCT's website and download Live Load. Once you get Live Load, you'll just take the tunes that are saved on your computer and put them on the device. Live Load is a very easy program to use.

Found it. For the X3 you have to download LiveWireUpdater. All the firmware, tune revisions and Live Load is built into the program.

Dly97,

I highly suggest NOBODY use the word "load" in the same post, let alone thread, with your signature. Man!

Anyway, let us know how hou like the tunes. I'm calling VMP Tuesday after I get my code & strategy.

Will do. I've got about a half ton of pea gravel I've got to put somewhere tomorrow sitting in the bed of my truck. I bought one ton of it and put some around the patio, it seems like it's a bottomless pit though.

How do I know which one of those programmers on his site to get? There are like 3-4 of them that look the same to me. I have a 99 f150 5.4 v8

Well i just installed my tune from Justin. I have only driven it like 10 miles but it feels pretty good. I will let the adaptive strategy work and then see what i think of it. I did notice it runs and shifts very smooth already.

Thanks again ThumperMX113

No problem. I love hearing good responses after I recommend VMP Tuning to people. The driveability of his tunes make it worth the money. Not to mention the increase of power is nice !!

I ordered my Xcal 3 with custom tunes from VMP last Friday. Heard good things about his tunes. I'm sure Troyer tunes are great too, just didn't want to wait 8 to 10 weeks. Can't wait to give them a try.
